The Mini and Mod Player of the Year awards are among the highest individual honours presented within our junior program.

These awards recognise much more than natural ability. They celebrate players who consistently demonstrate outstanding effort, a positive attitude, respect for their teammates and coaches, and a commitment to giving their best every time they take the field.

🏉 SENIOR COACH ANNOUNCEMENT 🏉

Souths Sunnybank Rugby League Club is proud to announce the appointment of Ben Harper as our Senior Coach for the 2027 season.

After serving as Assistant Coach of our Division 1 side in 2026, Ben steps into the role with extensive rugby league knowledge, experience and a strong understanding of our club.

Ben will oversee Souths Sunnybank’s entire senior program as we build towards an exciting and successful 2027 season.

Congratulations, Ben! We look forward to the season ahead. 🖤🤍

🏉 FINALS FOOTBALL THIS WEEKEND 🏉
As excitement builds, we’re asking every spectator to remember: It’s positive or it’s pointless.

Our players respond best to positive encouragement. When they hear spectators arguing about calls, criticising referees or directing negativity towards players, their focus shifts away from their own game.

Cheer loudly, celebrate effort and support our team, but please show respect to our players, the opposition, referees and everyone around you.
Finals football brings plenty of passion. Let’s make sure ours is positive.

Our players are listening. Our children are watching. Let’s represent our club with pride.

With the conclusion of the 2026 rugby league season, Daniel Hazard has stepped down as Head Coach of the Souths Sunnybank men’s senior program.

The club extends its sincere thanks to Dan and his family for their commitment and support over the past three seasons.

During his time at Souths Sunnybank, Dan guided the club to two premierships and led our senior side into the Division 1 competition. Despite an extensive injury toll throughout the 2026 season, the team competed admirably at that level—including two narrow two-point losses to the reigning premiers, West Mitchelton.

Dan has made a significant contribution to our club and its senior program. We sincerely thank him for everything he has given to Souths Sunnybank and wish Dan and his family all the very best for the future.

A massive congratulations to our mighty Souths Sunnybank U13 Boys, who have finished an incredible season UNDEFEATED and crowned the 2026 U13 Boys Div 2 - CHAMPIONS!

From the first whistle of the season to the final siren, these boys played with heart, courage, determination and true Magpies pride. Every training session, tackle, run and try led to this unforgettable moment.

To our players - you believed in one another, fought for one another and never gave up. You have made your families, coaching staff, supporters and the entire club incredibly proud.
