The North Brisbane Basketball Association is incredibly proud to announce Brodie Meis as our newest Life Member.

Brodie’s history with our club runs deep. Long before running the association, he wore our jersey as a junior player, later returning for our men’s senior social competitions. His true legacy began when his children joined the club in 2017. What started as a dad supporting his kids quickly transformed into a tireless journey of service that has shaped the lives of hundreds of young athletes.

Stepping up to the presidency at the 2020 AGM, Brodie answered the call during one of the most challenging moments in our history. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, he carried the club on his shoulders, spending virtually every night at the PCYC to personally keep the courts running and our basketball community together.

His leadership sparked unprecedented growth, expanding the club from 27 to 55 junior teams. Brodie built this on the court, coaching almost every age group through to our senior men’s GBL team, and bringing in countless new families through his popular scrimmage sessions. Beyond NBBA, his widely respected basketball acumen extends to coaching the Brisbane Capitals, serving as Head of Basketball at Clayfield College, and his recent four-year tenure on the BBI board.

More than the numbers or titles, Brodie represents the very best of who we are: a former junior who returned with his family and gave his absolute all to ensure the next generation had a place to play. For his relentless work ethic, his sacrifices during our toughest years, and the massive heart he pours into our community, we proudly congratulate Brodie Meis on receiving Life Membership.

A huge thankyou to all our Coaches and Players involved in our Summer Season Team Allocations sessions over the last two weeks. It is a huge task as you can imagine and has run very smoothly.

Team lists will be worked on and will be released some stage throughout the second week of holidays, please be patient. In the mean time enjoy your holiday break!!

SUMMER SEASON PLAYER ALLOCATION SCHEDULE

This schedule will begin this week for particular groups. Please Bring a water bottle and named basketball to each session. Please arrive at the venue on time so we can begin swiftly.

PLEASE ONLY ATTEND SUMMER SEASON TRIALS IF YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON.

Whilst we do try our hardest with friendships and other situations we can never 100% gaurantee we can make make all the requests work. Especially when players maybe at different divisional levels.
