2026 Queensland MTBO Championships β Ride. Race. Navigate.
The Queensland Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships are heading to the Sunshine Coast on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, with three championship races across a great mix of fast urban riding and forest terrain.
Whether you're chasing a Queensland title, National Series points, or simply looking for a weekend of challenging riding and navigation, the championships offer three very different MTBO experiences.
Three races β one great weekend
SPRINT β Saturday morning
π Sunshine Beach State High School
Expect fast decision-making, quick route choices and plenty of changes of direction in this short and intense opening race.
MIDDLE β Saturday afternoon
π Mooloolah National Park
The action moves into the forest for a technically challenging Middle Distance where accurate navigation and smart route choice will be important.
LONG β Sunday morning
π Beerburrum East State Forest
Finish the weekend with the Long Distance Championship, combining endurance, route choice and navigation through the forest trail network.
Entry fees
MTBO Club members β $30 per event
Non-members β $50 per event
90-minute Recreational course β $25
The recreational course is a great option for riders who are newer to MTBO, aren't looking to contest a championship class, or simply want to enjoy some navigation on two wheels.
Entries close Wednesday 16 September
Don't leave it until the last minute. Get your entry in, prepare the bike and mapboard, and join us for a full weekend of Queensland MTBO championship racing.
