THE STORY BEHIND THE COACH!! ๐ฆ๐บ๐ฏ๐ต
Sometimes, the story behind a coachโs journey is just as special as the journey of the athletes they lead! For our Head Coach Tsuyoshi, the recent Junior Pan Pacs in Canada was a particularly meaningful moment - one that had been many years in the making. ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
Tsuyoshi travelled to the meet and was reunited with a very good friend whom he began coaching with at the same club in Japan. Over the years, they both coached swimmers who went on to represent their countries at Junior International Meets, but somehow they were always the coaches left behind. This time, after years of dedication, both were finally selected as representative coaches themselves! ๐
To make the experience even more special, his friends swimmer competed in the same events as our own Ava H! So whilst guiding Ava H and Lincoln W on the international stage, Tsuyoshi was sharing a milestone moment with a friend who had walked the same coaching journey with him for so many years.
The medals, the performances and the memories from Canada are something our athletes will carry with them, but this story is a wonderful reminder that great coaching journeys are built over years, not overnight. Weโre incredibly proud to have Tsuyoshi leading our athletes!! ๐โค๏ธ
