Stolen from Faith Lutheran College

Our club trailer has been missing since last night.
If you have seen it, noticed it being towed, or have any information that may help locate it, please contact us immediately or send our page a private message.

The LAQ office will be shut for 2 days from Thursday 9th and Friday 10th July due to a staff retreat.

The office will reopen from Monday 13th July.

Congratulations to Cameron Flack from Bargara Little Athletics — our 2026 June Volunteer of the Month! 💙

Cameron is the driving force behind the smooth running of grounds and facilities at his Centre. Week in, week out, he’s maintaining equipment, managing setup and pack-down, keeping the field in top condition, and ensuring everything is safe and ready for athletes to enjoy.

This month, Cameron went far beyond his usual incredible contribution. After discovering a break-in at the grounds during a routine check, he immediately took action — working with police to identify missing equipment, assisting with reporting and insurance processes, and even giving up his own Saturday to support investigations. Despite the disruption, he still returned early Sunday morning to help set up and ensure competition could go ahead as planned.

His commitment, calm leadership and willingness to step in wherever needed truly reflect the spirit of volunteering.

Congratulations, Cameron — and thank you for everything you do!

Seven Centres have received a combined $158,587 through the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, helping deliver important facility upgrades and new equipment for athletes across the state. 🙌

A special congratulations to North Rockhampton Athletics Centre, who successfully secured funding to replace their synthetic long jump runway after accessing our Grant Writers in Clubs program.

The program provides eligible Centres with professional grant writing support at no cost, giving volunteers extra support to pursue funding opportunities.

As North Rockhampton shared:

"Working with Andrew on our Community Gambling Grant application was an easy and straightforward process... Being successful with our application has been vital in allowing us to continue providing a quality experience to our members and our region."

Athlete to Officials Introduction Officiating Workshop!

The new Athlete to Officials IOW is designed specifically for athletes and former athletes who want to learn more about officiating and explore a new way to contribute to athletics.

Participants will receive free officiating training and accreditation, providing the skills and knowledge needed to begin their officiating journey.
