Another great program delivered at my local club. I ran 2 sessions this weekend focusing on forward stroke. It’s was a very popular clinic with all 3 sessions (1 was a few weeks ago) full. I get great reward working with people who are open to take feedback and make improvements on their technique. Well done to the 18 people who now have some extra skills to make their paddling more effective, more efficient and have them feeling stronger and more comfortable.

What a week of kayaking ! starting last Tuesday and heading off to school sea kayak camp on Wivenhoe Dam. Apart from spending the week with great students, there were many highlights. Some of them were students stopping for a swim in the middle of the dam, navigating our way through morning fog and learning to trust your bearing ! And having a couple of students award me with recognition of my helpfulness and encouragement during an evening reflection session. It was just beautiful.

Greek Islands calling ? It’s a reality for Jodie and Tim, adventure couple who are heading to Europe next year. It was a great morning on the weekend spending time with these 2 to have them prepared for their 21 days of paddling around the Greek Islands. What a trip !

How was yesterday’s weather! 25° no wind in the morning, the Water was like glass, reflections were gorgeous and such a beautiful day for paddling canoes. I spent the day with students of Carmichael College who were getting skilled up and prepared for their upcoming Everglades journey.
We were lucky to get a sunny day when Allana from All About Paddling took us kayaking, but the weather's no excuse, she always finds a way to enjoy the outdoors.
