There have been few people who have given so much to the sport of indoor cricket like Peter Lynskey.

21 Indoor Cricket Nationals, not to mention many more across Netball and other tournaments.

Pete’s door was always open. No matter what the hour or the problem, he was always there. There is no doubt there are many people who made it through the week due to Peter Lynskey.

Pete has decided 2026 will be his last year “putting us back together”.

On behalf of all indoor cricketers (not only Queensland), thank you Peter Lynskey. Enjoy retirement, you thoroughly deserve it 🏏❤️.

Ps Pete will be coming to Masters Zone titles (Ipswich 24/25 October) for anyone who wants to catch up - details TBA.

From the 7 divisions, Queensland won 4 Titles:

0/45 Maroon defeated Qld White
0/50 Maroon defeated NSW
0/55 Maroon defeated WA
0/60 White defeated Qld Maroon

0/35 Maroon lost to Victoria in the GF
0/40 Maroon lost to Victoria in the GF
0/30 Women narrowly missed the finals

Good luck to those players, coaches and managers selected to represent Australia in the upcoming Trans Tasman to be held in Auckland, Sept 16-19.

Congratulations to those also selected in the 0/60 All Star team.

It is with great respect that we remember Graeme Togo, a proud representative of Queensland Indoor Cricket.

Graeme wore the maroon with honour, representing Queensland Masters in the Over 35’s in 1991 (team photo below) and again in the Over 40’s in 1994. To reach that level in our sport is no small achievement, and Graeme’s dedication, passion, and commitment to indoor cricket will always be remembered.

He was part of a special era of Queensland Masters cricket — helping build the foundation and culture that so many still benefit from today.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and teammates.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of a much-loved member of our indoor cricket community, John “JT” Thomas. 💙🏏

JT was a constant and reassuring presence across the Queensland (and Australian) indoor cricket scene. As a dedicated sports trainer he gave his time, knowledge, and care to players and teams at both state and national levels.

JT will be remembered by the many players, officials, and friends who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in the countless people he helped and the care he showed to everyone around him.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to JT’s family and loved ones.

The 0/60's Maroon team won the first title in 2025. After making six changes, they are looking to defend their title in 2026. Wishing them continued success.

The 2026 Queensland 0/55 Maroon team is targeting their maiden title in this division; following their finalist position in 2025, will they take the next step in 2026?

Our 0/50 Maroon Men’s side is gearing up for back-to-back success in 2026. “Beefa” has a team well-equipped to accomplish exceptional feats. Congratulations to everyone involved.
