This gives you a good idea of what is involved in a training session: stretching, basics, moving training, pad work, kata, controlled sparing, some fun exercises too. We always do some combination of these during a session.
Brisbane Jinen Karate
Learn Karate, Martial Arts, Self-defence, Fitness, Have some fun, maybe lose some weight, tone up for summer, make some new friends, start your journey now
Traditional karate training with a focus on contact and control. This club started when we became disillusioned with the McDojos with no ability chasing money. We are accessible and affordable for beginners, accomplished martial artists and seniors with no previous experience. We are affiliated with the International Budo Federation, which ensures that our graded levels are recognised internationally.
Flexibility is your secret weapon
Strength throws the punch. Technique lands it. New students always ask: “What’s most important in karate?”
Answer: All of it.
Strength for power. Technique for precision. Flexibility for longevity and a range.
We train the whole fighter here, not just the highlight reel
