A quick tip to stay on track...
The key to it all is CONSISTENCY.
Some people make a lot of sacrifices and train super hard for an event or goal. But eventually give up because it feels like a drag and no fun. And they lose all their hard-won fitness and positive mindset.
The key to success is training in a way that complements your lifestyle and spare time, so that you enjoy it more. Only then, will you have a realistic chance of consistency.
