The future of the Devils is officially underway! πΉβ€οΈπ
Round 1 of our 7-week Little Devils program is in the books, and what a morning it was!
It was awesome to see a heap of 3β6-year-olds pull on the Devils colours, have a crack, and give everything a go. The smiles, excitement and energy were unreal.
Todayβs focus was all about developing physical literacy through fun. We worked on:
π Running, jumping and landing
π€Έ Falling safely
β‘οΈ Sidesteps and gooseys
πββοΈ Strategy games like Rob the Nest
π₯ And to finish it off, everyone got to have a go on the tackle bags!
A massive thank you to all the parents who jumped in, encouraged the kids and spent the morning chasing them around with cameras. πΈ
Now itβs your turn!
Drop your favourite photos from today in the comments and let us know:
β€οΈ What did your Little Devil love most about their first session?
π¬ Weβd love to hear their favourite game, skill or funniest moment.

The entire Aspley Devils family is incredibly proud of Harlem Walker, who made her NRLW debut for the Brisbane Broncos on the weekend.
In a memorable first appearance, Harlem helped the Broncos to a 50-4 victory over the North Queensland Cowboys and capped off the occasion by scoring a try on debut. A moment sheβll never forget.
Harlemβs rugby league journey began right here at Aspley, where she developed her love for the game before progressing through the Broncos pathways and earning her opportunity at the highest level.
Seeing one of our own achieve their dream is what community rugby league is all about. Harlem is a fantastic role model for every young Devil pulling on the maroon, teal and gold each weekend, proving that with hard work, commitment and resilience, dreams really can become reality.
Congratulations on an unforgettable debut, Harlem and her family. The entire Devils family is incredibly proud of you.
Once a Devil, always a Devil. πΉβ€οΈππ

MYTH: Girls don't tackle as hard.
β
Same laws. Same contact.
MYTH: Women's footy isn't as intense.
β
Different athletes. Different strengths. The physical demands are still high.
MYTH: Women's rugby league isn't high-performance.
β
Training, recovery, strength work, skill development and preparation are all part of the game.
A tackle doesn't know who's carrying the ball.
Force is force.
Contact is contact.
Recovery still matters.
Every athlete deserves access to good coaching, good healthcare and good support.
Women's sport doesn't need to justify its place.
It deserves investment because athletes deserve opportunities to perform at their best.
The rules never changed. Maybe it's time the perception did.
π What's the biggest myth about women's sport you've heard?

π¨ CARSSELDINE TRAINING FIELDS β TRAINING CANCELLED TONIGHT π¨
Unfortunately, due to a statewide issue affecting the eSwitch lighting system, the lights at Carseldine Training Fields are unable to be activated this evening.
The system provider has advised they are working to rectify the issue and have recommended a manual override. However, as the site is controlled externally by Council/EDQ, we do not have access to manually operate the lights.
π‘ As a result, all training scheduled at Carseldine tonight has unfortunately been cancelled.
We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate everyoneβs patience and understanding.
π If your child is already at the grounds and youβre unable to get there immediately, please contact your team manager or coach.
Thanks for your understanding and weβll provide further updates if they become available.

π£ Aspley Family Survey Coming Soon
Later this week our annual family survey will be sent out.
This is your chance to tell us about your team. What do they do well? What does your child love about footy? Has your coach helped build confidence, skills or simply made your child excited to come each week?
Of course, if you have ideas on how we can improve, weβd love to hear them too.
Our coaches, managers and volunteers give up countless hours because they love the game and care about your kids. They genuinely value feedback, so weβd encourage every family to complete the survey and, even better, sit down and do it with your child.
Positive feedback helps our volunteers know theyβre making a difference. Constructive feedback helps us grow. Both matter.
Thanks in advance for helping us continue to build a club weβre all proud to be part of.
