No sales = No business.
I've been in sales since I was a teenager.
I have built businesses based on the fact that I can sell.
Now I've been coaching a few business owners who are experts in their craft/trade. They do fantastic work.
But their businesses are currently losing money.
The problem?
They're terrified of selling.
Some even don't like to identify themselves as salespeople.
They're working stupid hours. They're stressed. They're worried about money.
They know they need more customers.
They know that if they don't sell more they don't have a business.
That's why they hired me.
So we've built sales systems. Written scripts. Worked on mindset. Found prospects. Done the training.
I've even picked up the bloody phone myself and made their calls for them to show that the opportunity is real.
And then...
Nothing.
They still won't make the calls.
Look, I get it.
Making sales calls can be uncomfortable. Rejection sucks.
It's much easier to stay busy doing the things you're already good at.
But you didn't become a business owner because you wanted an easy, comfortable life.
You became a business owner because you wanted more.
And sometimes that means doing the things that make you uncomfortable.
As a coach, that's one of the most frustrating things you'll ever deal with.
I can't want someone's success more than they do.
At some point you've got to stop doing everything that isn't making you money..
and
pick up the fu***ng phone.
No one is coming to save your business.
If you're the owner, that's your job.
Agree or disagree?
