Norths Rugby Club would like to provide an update on Harry Langbridge following an injury sustained in the early stages of Saturday’s Major Semi Final against Brothers.

Harry has shared the following with the Norths community:

“I just wanted to say a really big thank you to everyone who reached out with their support over the weekend, it really means a lot. I’ve ended up with a broken fibula and a dislocated ankle from the tackle on Saturday. My ankle got put back in that evening but I’ll be back in for surgery on Thursday to plate and pin the break, a tightrope in to fix the syndesmosis, and possibly repair to the other damaged ligaments. Hopefully all goes well and I’ll be back on the sideline to watch the boys go all out to try and book our spot in the Grand Final.”

We thank everyone in the community for the messages and support for Harry.

Harry, thank you for everything you have contributed to the club this season. We’re all behind you and wish you the very best for a smooth recovery 🩵🦅

Thank you to our Norths Community for your extraordinary support yesterday for our Premier Men's Team. So many junior and senior players, old boys and girls and our broader Norths community turning up to show their support was very much appreciated by the players and the whole club. A true Eagles community effort.

While we didn't get the result the performance was one to be proud of and we go again next week. Everyone believes. 🦅🦅🦅

Congratulations Brothers Rugby Club on a great performance.

Next week's Preliminary Final will be on Sunday at Sunnybank Rugby Club. While parking is better there, we will organise another supporter's bus if requested: please list your EOI via this form if you want to utilise a supporter's bus next week: https://form.jotform.com/262268352306052

As if our Major Semi Final wasn’t reason enough to get down to GPS Rugby Club this weekend to get behind your Norths Eagles, we have another special occasion to celebrate 🦅🩵

Jack Peoples is set to celebrate a huge milestone, running out for his 50th first grade game for our club. Since making his debut in 2022, Jack has become a respected leader around the club — a damaging ball carrier, a relentless defender, and the kind of teammate every player loves to have alongside them.

“If there’s one person in our group who deserves to play a milestone game in a historic semi final for Norths, it’s Jack. Peeps has been through just about everything a player can go through in his time at Norths. A journey that started in colts many years ago, included an established QLD Cup rugby league career and even time in the Melbourne Storm system, before then returning to Norths, when we were really struggling. He’s had to relearn the game in an unforgiving competition and also dealt with injuries, while establishing a flourishing physiotherapy career and through all of this, he’s never wavered on who he is. He has become an integral part of our group over the last 4 seasons as a genuine leader with high emotional intelligence. He continues to be a highly intelligent, hard working player who is a calming influence on his peers (and coaches). As a coach, a player like Peeps makes my job so much easier. I have enormous trust and respect for Peeps and I couldn’t be more proud of his journey and the opportunity he has to play his 50th 1st grade game on Saturday. Congratulations Peeps, we’re so fortunate to have you at our club.”
- 1st Grade Head Coach, Dan Ritchie.

Congratulations on 50 first grade games, Peeps. A fantastic milestone 👏
