The last b**b shOOt in 2024 was an absolute cracker — a sea of pink, themed grounds, plenty of laughs and, most importantly, $6,000 raised for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. 🩷

And yes… Tough Ti***es pool shOOt will be making a comeback! 💪

This year, we’re bringing back all the fun, all the pink — and then adding even more.

So, mark your diary in pink, start planning your outfit and get ready to b**b shOOt it up!

Again, we’re super, super proud of our members, Peter Tobin and Michael Lucas — and John Younger, our honorary BSC member for the occasion — for taking gold in the Senior category at the Compak World Championships in Italy this week. Outstanding effort, gents!

Yes, we’re aware that Compak isn’t an SCA discipline. But we don’t care. We’re just bloody proud of these geezers.

The only question now is: how the hell are they getting those trophies home? We reckon Big Micky will just take his as carry-on. Thoughts? ✈️

Michael Lucas – World Champion!

Overnight BSC's esteemed Vice President, Mick, went and got himself a World Championship Title (shooting 192/200) in Seniors division in Italy at the Fitasc World Compak Championships. He even went into the last day, leading, and still shot himself a clean round – nerves of steel? Perhaps.

Further, fellow BSC Member, Peter Tobin and John Younger (not BSC, but we forgive him) came in with a most excellent 188/200 each. Their combined score, with Mick’s, pushed our Mens Senior team into the gold!

Now, we hear the moans that Compak is not an SCA discipline any more, but bloody hell, our Members are out there kicking goals … or shooting things … and … well, wow – what bloody legends.

Come celebrate our past members at the Ashley Mead Memorial Shoot. ❤️

If you didn't know Ashley Mead, he was one of those quiet achievers who simply got things done. He worked tirelessly behind the scenes at BSC, never looking for fanfare or recognition, and was instrumental in making BSC the awesome club it is today. He was also heavily involved with QSCA and gave plenty of his time to supporting clay target shooting in Queensland.

So come along, have a shoot, have a laugh and help us remember the people who have been part of our club over the years.

What a huge weekend!

Our 2026 Queensland State Titles are done and dusted, with two days of competition, six grounds, plenty of challenging targets and some seriously impressive shooting. And, remarkably, we had the whole thing wrapped up, including presentations, by 1.30pm Sunday!

A huge congratulations to all of our winners and placegetters, and particularly to Damien Birgan, who has taken out the title of 2026 Queensland State Champion!

The Pool Shoot was also well received, culminating in a thrilling four-way shoot-off for the pool (Billy Cain, Damien Birgan, Todd Bridge, Danny Mac). In a great show of sportsmanship, the winner chose to split the pool with the other top shooters — a fantastic gesture after a hard-fought finish.

A massive thank you to our volunteers, who put in the work behind the scenes to make the weekend run smoothly. From setting targets and preparing the grounds to keeping everyone fed, squadding, scoring and getting presentations organised — it simply doesn't happen without you.

Thank you also to everyone who travelled to BSC to compete, with shooters joining us from regional Queensland and interstate, and to our sponsors QSCA and OTC for their support.

And finally, thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a great weekend. Well shot, everyone.
