The truth wants to be told, needs to be heard. It may seem like the whole world wants to believe in a lie, and so you wonder if you are crazy, if you are the only one who is thinking differently and desiring the real story to emerge. Yet those that fight against the truth are even more in need of it! There can be no healing, no freedom, no moving on without it. You are going to be blessed with a truth revealed, a realisation about yourself, the world or others that will bring you relief. It will happen at the right time. It will set your soul free.

Sometimes, the lies we are repeatedly told become so familiar that we forget that they are lies and begin to believe that they are real. Maybe it’s someone judging us that is the lie. Maybe it’s advertising and the media, which are often more about deceptive manipulation than a source of correct information. Whatever the source, all untruth teaches us the same thing - that we must be afraid and hate each other.
When we are fed so many false truths, it can become hard to remember what real truth feels like. It can even start to seem like the truth doesn’t matter as much as being able to convince another person to accept your point of view. This is like poison for the soul. The soul needs truth like your body needs air. It keeps it alive. Deep in your soul, you know what is true, and you know when you, or anyone else, is not being truthful. You are sensitive enough to know that only truth feels good for you. You must give yourself permission to be truthful with your own soul and live honestly, authentically and bravely in this world. It is the only way for you to really be you. The Angel of Truth comes to you with protection and encourages you to put your faith in truth, because it will always shine stronger than any lie.

The Halcyon is a mythical bird that charms the element forces of wind and waves into calmness. The term, ‘halcyon days’ refers to an idyllic time when all is good and golden. Halcyon is also a genus of kingfisher, a potent symbol of peace and prosperity. With this totem, we have blessings and promises of abundance and love. Kingfisher comes into our world on wings of hope, with news that the stormy times are at an end and an era of harmony, love and wealth is upon us.
Kingfishers are skilled hunters, with tremendous patience, focus and an ability to fly straight and true. Kingfishers teach us to keep our eye on the prize, to hone our efforts and to take swift action when the timing is right. Kingfisher helps us to cut through unnecessary distraction, so that our deeds lead us ever closer to our goals. The female kingfisher has more beautiful and distinctive colouring than the male which is unusual in the bird kingdom. She also migrates and returns while the male stays to defend the territory. The wisdom of this beautiful bird encourages us to let the feminine stand up and be seen. This can mean living our true soul values without hiding who we are or what really matters to us. Feminine energies dwell in the heart, and Kingfisher can help us live from the heart with freedom and courage.
The largest of the kingfishers is Australia’s laughing kookaburra. Kingfisher reminds us of our capacity for great joy. When we remember to laugh, we relax and open ourselves up to life. This makes us more able to receive the generous blessings Kingfisher will bring to our lives.

How brave you are! You are diving for light. It can be so much simpler to seek light in the heavenly, in that which is blissful, sweet, loving and kind. To look for light in that which is dark is an advanced task that only a rebellious and brave heart will attempt.
You may not feel that you have taken such a journey by choice. Yet you have taken this wise challenge on from deep within your soul. Your innermost being has evoked this situation in your life with the intention that you grow in power, wisdom and creative juice. It also wants you to experience a bold and fearless trust in life and become further empowered to live it with zest and courage.

The oracle of Diving For Light speaks of a time when you are called into the darkness through life circumstances, situations, relationship challenges or inner struggles that defy clear understanding. That darkness might be a creative block, a sense of being in a void or feelings of depression, rage, sadness, fear or anxiety. There may or may not be an obvious cause. The darkness might be generally accepted and socially acknowledged because there is a socially acceptable or obvious reason for it - such as a death, divorce or retrenchment. However there may be no obvious justification for your experience of darkness. You might not need a ‘reason’ to be able to accept it, likewise you may struggle to find an unconditional acceptance of your experience. Just know that you are actually on track and right where you need to be.

Our creative process and our spiritual path go through a similar ‘turning of the wheel.’ There is spring and summer, in the seasons of our soul, as well as in the earthly ones. There is the autumn harvest and there is the death inherent in winter, when energy is concentrated and pulled within to seek out the darkness where it can rest, regenerate and simply be, until the time is right for new life, energy and creative inspiration to burst forth.

When diving for light, one must be willing to bear the darkness and understand it has a purpose, much like winter does upon the earth. It is not in error or through lack of consciousness that you are here now. It is testament to your spiritual growth and creative process, not a sign that they are lacking or stalling.

This oracle brings particular guidance that although you are powerful, you are also vulnerable at this time. You need to be alert to sabotage and criticism that may make your progress more difficult than it already is. That would be rather unnecessary. At least some of the people around you might be more attached to their fear and doubt than to their faith in your process and the ways of creative, rebellious, spiritual path that asks us to trust unconditionally. They may be frightened due to a lack of understanding. You don’t need to carry their fear for them. You have your own process to attend to and they can choose to be inspired by your journey, or frightened by it. They are free to respond as they wish and whatever those responses are, they are part of their journey for them to work through.

You also need to be vigilant against the darker forces within you. These are the voices that you may not expect, particularly if you are a pure-hearted being who typically resonated with love. These voices or feelings might surprise you with their dark intensity. They may be feelings of hate, terror or of wanting only to sleep because anything further is all just too hard. They may contain vicious criticism of yourself or tell you that your inner creative work is pointless, unoriginal, not with it or stupid. These dark forces might try to tell you that you are on the wrong path, suggest that you will fail, or ask with great condescension, “Who the hell do you think you are?!”
You must stay in your heart and not believe these dark forces. Stay in compassion. Fear creates the energy of anger, hate and destructiveness. These forces are a part of life. We don’t have to be frightened of them, nor do we need to deny their existence or try to ignore them in order to find light in the darkness. We just need to hold compassion and be intelligently aware so we can avoid being seduced into the trap of needing to prove ourselves or into the mistaken belief that we need to fight against darkness. It is too easy to get caught up in trying to heal the dark. Darkness just is. Recognise it when it is there and be in your compassionate heart. All you need to do is make a choice - will you stay in your heart or will you be seduced by darkness and overcome by hate or sleepiness?

Diving for light is a spiritual test and a threshold for all true creative work. We successfully navigate our way through this test and pass the threshold into new creative birth, by staying connected to the light of compassion in our own hearts. It is not an easy test, but it is one that you must be ready for - otherwise it wouldn’t be coming to you now. Just remember, it is the light of the heart that sustains. It exists within us always, even in the darkest depths of unknown terrain.

This oracle also comes with a special message. There is a darkness within or around you that could become problematic if left unchecked. If, for no particular reason, you find yourself feeling angry, irritated, hopeless or tired more easily than usual, unable to rest or it is just too much effort to exercise or take care of yourself, then this darkness is having an unnecessary effect on you. It is time to end that now from a place of compassion. Don’t be afraid! You are learning this lesson and the unending power of compassion because you are ready for it. Feel honoured by the lesson and stay humbly centred in your powerful, rebellious heart that refuses to be conquered by fear and remains faithful to love. All will be well.

The journey of the soul is the journey from the head to the heart. Anahata is the Sanskrit name for the 'heart chakra'. Anahata Kali is the goddess who secures the awakening, transformation and liberation of the heart. Love is her expression. When Kali Ma touches the heart, it becomes capable of love that is increasingly unconditional, fearless and compassionate. Such empowerments often manifest through loss and betrayal. In responding to such challenges, we grow our heart's capacity for love, processing and healing emotions of grief, betrayal and anger. Our heart becomes stronger through the process. We can underestimate the extraordinary power of the heart by focusing on its sweetness, love and light as though they were weaker than anger, fear or the consuming intensity of grief. We can only begin to understand the spiritual worlds and how they operate when we let go of the human perspective. A human believes that the heavier and denser something is, the more powerful it is. A heavy emotion like anger or physical situations that appears gridlocked are given more weight than the intangible realms of spirit. Yet, spirit is behind all things, in all things. Being invisible does not impede its effectiveness, if anything. it enhances it.

For something so seemingly invisible, love has unconquerable power. We affirm this in expressions, such as, "love can move mountains' or,'love will always find a way'. Yet, we are conditioned to believe that there is more power in what we can see and control, rather than the spiritual power of love. Such conditioning pulls us away from heart connection and into the fear-based belief system that we need to control things, or there will be no benefit, no safety, no happiness. However, we can never be safe if we are disconnected from the spiritual home of the heart where all healing, wisdom, true guidance, spiritual protection and regenerating vitality resides.

The backlog of emotional pain stored in our hearts can sometimes cause us to shut down, even when we know that in closing down our hearts, we lose out on love's joy and wisdom. We may go through the motions of living, but without the real emotional juice and revitalising engagement with life. Kali Anahata brings a message from the Divine Mother that she is supporting you in healing your heart. She wants you to connect to more profound joy in life. We bring you the blessing of descending power. This is the powerful downward current of energy that allows for manifestation, for strengthening of the spiritual connection to the body, and of bringing your light to the Earth. In the spiritual tradition, there is much emphasis on energy rising: yet without the balance of descending power, you will feel lost in your mind, scattered in your thinking and frustrated in your efforts to see the inspired ideas you receive translated into completed tasks in the physical world. The uprising power helps you shift frequencies and access inspiration, while the descending power helps you ground to create. There is a time and a place for both the rising and the descending currents of divine energy. You are guided to attend at this time to the descending power to make best progress on your life journey.

There are entire modalities in the spiritual path dedicated to the raising of the vital energies from the lower to the upper chakras. For those that are anchored in the material world, cannot connect with genuine inner feeling of the heart, lack sensitivity to subtle energies, and perhaps have closed off their minds to worlds of spirit beyond what they can perceive through their five senses, then this is useful indeed. However, what about those already upwardly mobile, spiritually speaking? Such people already have open and stimulated higher chakras. This tends to mean having an open mind, and often some kind of belief in spirit or a philosophy of some sort that works for them, that helps them feel they have some sort of purpose or valuable contribution to make to the world (even if they are still working out the details of what that contribution or purpose may be). They often have more ideas than they know what to do with. They perceive a lot and are often sensitive to energy, including the thoughts and feelings of other people, animals and even the Earth herself. Yet there can be great frustration in translating those extraordinary perceptions into material reality in the form of projects, tasks and a clear sense of purpose made practical. These people will already feel moved by their hearts and have words of wisdom to express. What they need is to be drawn down into the world to be able to find a form through which they can share their spiritual treasures, not pushed upwards for more when what already exists has not been put to full use.

This is the gift of the descending power. It is the reorientation for the more spiritually inclined (and those that need more physical energy after an illness, long emotional struggle or other challenge) so that vitality can be generated. It brings clarity and refreshment to the mind and allows for the body to feel really alive, joyful and in sensual appreciation for manifest creation - the air on the skin, the scent of flowers, the beautiful sound of birds calling, or the sight of a powerful tree. To be able to take in sensory healing from the physical world requires the downward current. There must be descending power for you to feel grounded, to be able to act in constructive and practical ways to support your inspired ideas, and to fall in love with life, not just in the fantasy of what could be. Descending power gives you energy and peace, happiness, and a sense of connection and presence in the world.

The descending power begins with intention. Any kind of grounding is an act of will, especially for those that find it easier to fly free and soar amongst the stars, the world of ideas or the realms of subtle energies. The best way to access the gift of descending power is to put your mind in your lower body. For some this will feel nearly impossible at first, but it will become easy with practice. Do not become dissuaded if you find this is the case for you. You have accomplished awareness in the upper chakras -something chat is truly magnificent and many others are just beginning to work on! Well done! Now you get to bring the joy of spirit down into your body and your world. This is a beautiful journey, from the head to the heart to the hips. It helps you feel like your spirit and your soul, and your body, are all working together in harmony. This creates energy and power for your path. So put your mind, your attention, your awareness in your hips, your belly, your legs and your feet. Get to know those parts of your body. Talk to them. Tell them you love them. Touch them.
