To the dads who show up ❤️
For the early mornings, the trips to training, the encouragement after a tough day, the celebrations after a great one, and all the moments in between.
This Father’s Day, Special Olympics Queensland celebrates the fathers, grandads and father figures who support their athletes to participate, connect and be part of a community that values inclusion.
Thank you for being there, cheering them on and sharing the journey.
Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Special Olympics Queensland.

We want to extend a huge congratulations to Chris Nott, a dedicated volunteer from Special Olympics Gold Coast, who has been awarded a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International in recognition of her outstanding service and commitment to others. Through her tireless dedication, Chris has helped shape and grow the Outback Queensland Cattle Drive, creating a lasting impact on countless lives.

The Paul Harris Fellow is one of Rotary International's highest honours, recognising individuals whose contributions exemplify Rotary's ideals of service, fellowship, and making a difference in their communities and around the world.

Chris's passion, leadership, and commitment to inclusive communities truly embody these values. We thank her for her ongoing support of Special Olympics Australia and congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.

Calling all athletes, families/carers, coaches, officials, administrators, volunteers, and service providers of sport in the disability sector.

📣 Help shape future of disability sport in Australia.

The Australian Sports Commission and the The University of Queensland are leading a national survey to better understand the experiences, barriers and opportunities within disability sport.

Whether you're a participant, coach, volunteer, official, administrator, carer or service provider, your feedback matters.

Your feedback will help shape a national Disability Sport Action Plan, creating more opportunities for people with disability to access, participate and progress in sport.

If you've never been involved in sport because of the barriers you've faced, your perspective is just as important.

The survey closes Wednesday 30 September — share your experiences and help shape a more inclusive sporting system for everyone.
