Meet Graham. 81 years old, former athlete, and not about to let a heart surgery or back issues slow him down. πŸ’ͺ

His goal? 40km a week on his e-trike. His actual record so far? 52km. 🚲

Graham's first few rides were, in his own words, "disastrous", years of two-wheel habits don't disappear overnight, and cambers and hills took some getting used to. But with a bit of one-on-one training from our team, he found his confidence, and now he's tackling hills without stopping.

He says it best: riding his trike feels like "living his youth again."

Graham still drops by the shop for a chat and to update us on his weekly kilometres (he's very competitive about it πŸ˜„) and honestly, he's become part of the furniture around here. We love having him.

If you've been thinking about getting back on a ride, or finding a way to keep riding for longer, come have a chat with us. No pressure, just a conversation.

If you have been following the news, you likely know that the Queensland Government recently passed new e-mobility laws to help clean up our footpaths and crack down on illegal, overpowered devices.

While EveryBody eBikes fully supports making our communities safer, we and many of our riders have been worried about what these changes mean for their e-bikes and e-trikes. Because the legislation is rolling out in stages, here is a plain-English breakdown of what is in effect right now, what is coming next, and how we are actively working with the government to ensure you can ride and purchase with confidence.

Supporting our local Special School and keeping students active and learning how amazing bike riding can be, both as a child but also for their whole life.

Last week we received our new e-bike, and we couldn't be more excited! We can't wait to see our students enjoying the opportunity to ride it.

A huge shout-out to Mark Furner MP and our amazing P&C for helping make this happen. We are incredibly grateful for your support and generosity, it truly means so much to our school community.

A big thank you to Everybody eBikes for creating a bike that was custom-made to suit our students' needs. We are also incredibly grateful to Everybody eBikes for generously donating a 3-wheel bike to our school, giving even more students the opportunity to enjoy riding and build their confidence.

If you're looking for a quality 2- or 3-wheel bike, Everybody eBikes have a fantastic range available for purchase.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this possible. We can't wait to see the smiles, confidence, and independence these bikes will bring to our students! πŸš²πŸ’™

Please see important summary from Space4cyclingbne below.

Please also note that the process for legacy EPACs and Special Purpose EPACs (i.e. trikes, recumbent, quads) are being worked on at present and the definitions have not been released yet. Please make your own decisions but we expect most people to continue to ride with usual care and courtesy and the new speed limits.

As soon as we have more info on exemptions for people and stickers for legacy or special purpose devices, we will let you know.
