🏆 QLD AMATEUR CHAMPION! 🏆

What an incredible achievement by Grace Rho, who has been crowned the 2026 Queensland Amateur Champion played at Beerwah Golf Club! ⛳️🏆

The championship began with three days of stroke play, before Grace progressed through all four rounds of match play to claim the championship.

In a thrilling final, Grace was forced to go all 18 holes against her opponent Rachel Lee.

Well done Grace on absolutely outstanding performance

A huge congratulations to Members Jensen Williamson and Grace Rho, who qualified for the Matchplay stage of the Queensland Amateur Championship at Beerwah Golf Club!

After three rounds of stroke play, both Jensen and Grace have done enough to secure their place in the knockout stage of 16, with the competition now shifting to head-to-head Matchplay.

The Club held it's Winter Women's Open Day yesterday which was well supported with over 90 teeing it up. Below are photos of the Winners from the day.

The day was all the more special as it was the playing group were also raising funds (in excess of $1000) for Chris McCourt which included raffles throughout the lunch and also Jen Park's contribution via the sales second hand golf balls.

Chris McCourt Fundraiser Update

Fundraising Week | 24–30 August

From 24–30 August, the Keperra Country Golf Club community will come together to raise funds and show our support for our Club Professional, Chris McCourt, who has been away from the Club since May as he continues his battle with a brain tumour.

Chris was first diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2014 and has faced the challenges associated with the condition ever since. Throughout that time, he has remained a familiar and much-loved member of the Keperra community, building strong relationships with our Members, staff and the wider Club community.

Since May, Chris has been unable to work while he focuses on his health and treatment. The Club is dedicating the week of 24–30 August to supporting Chris and his family and providing some additional financial assistance during this challenging period.

How Members Can Help?

Throughout the week, Members can easily contribute when making any purchase at the Club.

Ask our staff to “top up” your purchase with whatever amount you would like to donate. (For example, Members may choose to add $5, $10, $20 or any other amount to their transaction).

100% of all funds raised will go directly towards supporting Chris and his family.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. More than anything, this week is an opportunity to remind Chris that the Keperra community is firmly behind him.

Yesterday was the conclusion of this year’s Womens Matchplay Championships.

The A Grade Grade Championship was between Chrissy Booth (pictured center) and Ally Maguire after a tight match it would be Chrissy who would come out on top and a 3 & 1 victory.

B Grade saw Jackie Dowling and Kymmi Roberts (pictured LHS) squaring off and in another close match, it would be Kymmi who would take the spoils and a 2 & 1 victory.

In our C Grade final, Jen Carey (pictured RHS) and good friend Jill Farrell would contest the final. Jen eventually prevailed with a 3 & 2 win.

Congratulations to all our winners for 2026.

GENTS PENNANT SEASON WRAP-UP

Congratulations to our Keperra Gents Pennant side, who on Sunday secured 3rd place in Division 1, locking in Keperra’s position in Division 1 for the 2027 BDGA season!

Needing 7 points across the day to avoid a potential countback scenario resulting in relegation, the team rallied on a challenging Brisbane layout and produced 8.5 points to get the job done when it mattered most. 💪

After a sluggish start to the season, the team showed tremendous character to rally together and finish strongly under pressure. A fantastic effort from the entire group!

Furthermore, the Gents Masters Team won their flag by the slimmest of margins (.5). An outstanding result and a reflection of the golf played by the Masters throughout the season.
