Australian junior nationals is not the only country playing this great game this week.

The 2026 Junior Provincials have started today over in New Zealand and SMG may not have any ambassadors currently playing today but we do have a massive interest in this tournament.

SMG over the last few years has designed and supplied uniforms for 4 provincial teams.

SMG would like to wish all the players and coaches and all the legends who make this game the great game it is all the best for the next few days.

Day 1 has been run and won and Steph had a great day where her team won their first match of the tournament defeating Victoria by 81-65.

2 days later he was identified and the rest is history, 2 years on and SMG will partner with Bailey Winter for the 1st time at a national carnival as he hits the courts today!

If you have ever had the chance to meet Lyle Teske over the years at an indoor cricket court you would know how much of a great man he is.

My first interaction with Lyle was meeting him at Ipswich indoor sports when I filled in for a mid week game, low and behold here I am batting with him, so let’s set the scenario here, it’s around 2005-08 i think and I’ve been told I’m batting with this legend of the game, mind you I’m playing C grade superleague and he is an Aussie and QLD player, here he is banging up and down 2’s and I’m just strolling through for the run I get down the other end and have my shot and yep straight to fielders and he’s busting his ass to make the run, 6 months later when I became mates with him we are at the bar having a beer and that innings came up and he said how is it I’m busting my ass and your not, I said hey Lyle your an Aussie player and I’m a C grader there is your answer he laughed and the rest is history.

When I started SMG 2 players I that I new and were actively playing were Jay Otto and Lyle Teske I wanted them on the SMG books to use at the World Cup in Dubai, I rang Jay and he said let’s do it, I bugged and hounded Lyle for months but as the good bloke he is he said to me I’d love to but I’m committed to this other brand for a year or so and so I left it at that.

Last night one of the greatest players to have ever played indoor cricket around the world was inducted into the Hall of fame.

I just want to say as a fan of the game of indoor cricket congratulations Lyle you are seriously one of the best ever.
