LUXBMX Appleton Tee 😮‍💨

Straight-up throw-up. This LUX tee wears a hand-drawn graffiti piece courtesy of Jack Appleton — a UK expat, mate of the shop, and the hand behind the wildstyle “LUX” tag splashed across the front. It’s got that faded, hit-the-wall-last-night texture that makes it look like it’s already been through a few sessions before it hit your wardrobe

The following article covers BMX lifer Simon Reid and his journey of resilience and passion for building BMX, literally and metaphorically. Raised in Hobart’s tight-knit BMX scene during the early 2000s, he grew up in an era of hand-built trails, DIY creativity and strong local communities. Values which continue to define his work today through Blacksnake Trails, while a deep connection to family, nature and craftsmanship remains at the heart of everything he does. Read on to further endear yourself with our far southern comrades.

BlackSnake Trails and Excavations

16 laps around the sun for our little BMX store. 🎉

What started as a duo of BMX obsessed dudes has grown into the LUXBMX you know today. We’re in our third location, we’ve served over 70,000 customers and we’ve got the ultimate crew of who love BMX just as much as we do.

Massive thanks to everyone who’s rolled with us, turning up to our events, repping our merch, tagging us in your edits, and spreading the word to your mates. That support is what’s kept us rolling for 16 years. You’re the community that makes LUXBMX what it is. Here’s to the next lap. 🖤

New Sheriff’s In Town 🤠

CNC machined and laser welded by a robotic welding system developed by 5DEV’s in-house automation team, the RGXC Titanium Crank is the lightest & stiffest BMX race crank on the market.

For over 20 years, the standard in BMX has been Shimano 24mm pinch bolt cranks with steel spindle, with light weight aluminium spindles deemed too weak for pro level riders, but guess what? Rico Bearman and Romain Mahieu are both running this set up, providing that these cranks have the chops to mix it at the highest level of the sport
