I didn't start GB International Hair Academy because I wanted to become a business coach.

I started it because I saw a gap in our industry — and I had lived through that gap myself.

When I first came to Australia, I was earning around $80 a day as a hairstylist.

I knew how to do hair, but I realised very quickly that being a qualified hairstylist and becoming a high-performing, highly paid hairstylist are two very different things.

I didn't want to simply work more hours to earn more money.

So I started studying, researching and practising.

I specialised in advanced blonde and colour correction. I improved my consultation skills. I learned how to communicate confidently, understand exactly what my clients wanted and recommend the right solution.

As my knowledge increased, my confidence increased.

My results became better.

My clients trusted me more.

And the value I could create from each appointment increased.

Eventually, I went from earning around $150 a day, to $300, and then to $1,000 days.

But what really changed my direction was seeing other hairstylists use the systems I had developed and create results for themselves.

That's when I realised:

There are so many talented hairstylists who don't need to work harder.

They're simply missing pieces of knowledge that nobody has properly taught them.

Technical knowledge.

Consultation.

Communication.

Recommendation.

And the confidence to bring all of those skills together.

That's why I created GB International Hair Academy.

I want to help hairstylists close that gap and become confident, high-performing professionals — and help salon owners build teams that can deliver exceptional results without constantly depending on the owner.
