Bowls Queensland is proud to announce 𝙆𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙡 and 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙬 𝙇𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙨 as Mentor Coaches for our Queensland Under-18 Team heading to the Australian Under-18 Championships in Perth this October.
Between them, Kelsey and Matt bring experience from the highest levels of the sport, and now they’ll have the opportunity to share that knowledge with Queensland’s next generation. 🌟
Their role will go beyond bowls, providing guidance, leadership and support while helping our young athletes understand what it means to wear the maroon and represent Queensland.

🏆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟𝗦 𝗖𝗨𝗣 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 🏆
Congratulations to 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻 & 𝗕𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻, who have been crowned the 2026 Bowls QLD Secondary Schools Cup Champions! 👏🔥
The pair put together an outstanding campaign across the competition, finishing with a perfect 9 wins from 9 games and an impressive +112 shot differential.
🥇 Winners: Jenna Hagan & Ben Hagan
🥈 Runners-Up: Joshua Coupland & Nicolas Coupland
The Coupland pairing also produced a fantastic tournament, finishing with 7 wins from 9 games to secure second place.
A huge congratulations to both teams, and to all 14 school teams who competed across a brilliant two days of bowls at Club Pine Rivers.

Day 1 of the 2026 Bowls QLD Secondary Schools Cup State Finals is done and dusted! 🙌
After progressing through school and district competition, 14 teams from across Queensland have made their way to Club Pine Rivers to battle it out for the state title. 🔥
There was plenty of great bowls on display throughout Day 1, and now it all comes down to the final day!
