Set your alarms - tomorrow morning, the TODAY show will broadcast its national weather crosses live from Craigslea State High School ahead of the Volleyball Queensland Primary Schools Cup.

Competition gets underway at 9am, but some of our young volleyballers will be up before sunrise to help showcase the sport to viewers across Australia.

Tune in to Channel 9 or 9Now from 5:30am and keep an eye out for our young athletes throughout the morning. 🏐

Queensland team trials are coming up for the 2027 Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships!

With Youth Beach Champs returning to Coolangatta Beach next March, this is your opportunity to compete on home sand and represent Queensland against the best young beach volleyball athletes from across Australia.

📅 Trial 2 – Sunday 8 November
📍 Sandstorm Beach Club, Nathan
🏐 U14, U15, U16, U17 and U18

All athletes must hold a current VQ Recreational membership at the time of trials.
