After menopause, most women are missing the basics that protect the next 30 years.
A new study of 10,381 women: only 58% sleep enough, 23% hit cardio guidelines, 16% strength train.
Why it matters long term:
🦴 Estrogen builds muscle + bone. You can lose ~15% of muscle and ~10% of bone density in the first 5 years post-menopause. Lifting fights back (tied to ~10–20% lower mortality).
❀️ Heart disease becomes women’s #1 killer. Cardio protects it.
😴 Deep sleep clears brain waste tied to dementia. Short sleep also tanks blood sugar + blood pressure (hello, diabetes + heart risk).
The catch: this study shows the gaps, not the outcomes β€” those come from separate research. Not fear, leverage.
Pick ONE tonight. Save this & send it to a friend in midlife. πŸ’™
Not medical advice.

Don’t be confused. Here are some common sense guidelines to help women during perimenopause, menopause and post menopause.
So glad that we are finally getting the education backed by medical professionals.

I even had a strategic Nanna Nap yesterday afternoon so I could stay up and watch the entire game.

Game 3 will be interesting.

There may have been more Maroon shirts than Blues shirts in the studio today, but as every good NSW supporter knows...
Quality beats quantity. πŸ’™πŸ˜
Photos courtesy of our resident photographer Margie Flower she’s also a Maroon supporter!

No pink for me tomorrow in the studio… Blue all the way!

Go the Blues! And to my Maroon-loving friends… may your Wi-Fi be slow and your referee complaints be many. πŸ‰

I know this photo is highly offensive to Queensland supporters and for that… I am absolutely not sorry.

A HUGE congratulations to our reigning V.I.K. (Very Important Ken), Todd! πŸ’—πŸ…
Yesterday Todd took on the Brisbane Marathon Festival and crossed that finish line in an incredible 1 hour, 28 minutes and 35 seconds!

What makes this achievement even more special is that Todd continues to inspire everyone around him with his determination, resilience and positive attitude. He never looks for the easy pathβ€”he simply puts one foot in front of the other and gets the job done.

Please join me in congratulating our V.I.K. and Parkinson’s warrior extraordinaire on this fantastic achievement. πŸŽ‰πŸ‘
You earned that medal, Toddβ€”and we couldn't be prouder! πŸ…πŸ’—
