Sun Kiss Sailing

It's been a while.. a great day out racing and Sun Kiss came 2nd 🥈. A fantastic effort by the crew with 2 spinnaker runs. 11 knots of breeze and a sunny 21°. Another glass for the trophy cabinet 😁.

Race 5 of the Ingénue Series..

A beautiful day on the water.. lights winds to start but with winds expected to strengthen throughout the race.

A great day of sailing but conditions not ideal for Sun Kiss competitively and we only managed 5th place.

With 2 races left in the series, we are running 2nd overall.

Let's hope for a strong finish with our now better PHS score..😁

I know it's been a while...

Sun Kiss has been sailing as often as possible during 2022.

Sun Kiss participated in the annual RBYC cruising group lunch at RYCV in Williamstown last Sunday.

An enjoyable day had by all.. and we would all like to wish the cruising group a very happy 31 years of sailing 🎂..

Let's hope Sun Kiss has many more years of sailing ahead...😁

A combined RBYC and SYC event.. the Peter Taylor Trophy Race 1.. in 15 knot southerlys, Sun Kiss had a great start and consistent day coming out with a PHS handicap win..😁

Congrats to the crew.. definitely a combined effort..

It was the first official race after racing returned... and Sun Kiss almost didn't compete..😮..

20 to 25 knot winds from the north.. and storms looming on the horizon.. Sun Kiss performed superbly.. 2 handed again.. and another podium finish.. 🎉 line honours but 3rd on handicap 🥉🎊 in the RBYC Ingenue Trophy series.

Congrats to the crew.. hope to have a few more on board next time.

Racing is back!!

Sun Kiss dusted off the cobwebs.. 2 handed... in challenging conditions..and we came 3rd 🥉🎉 not a bad effort and the crew celebrated with a refreshing beer back at the club.

Looking forward to more podium finishes throughout the season.

It was a beautiful morning on the bay today. We did bob around at times but then the wind would come up and off we would go..

The bay was a bit murky but a seal popped it's head up at one time..

We are finally able to do some cruising again.. 🎉 at least the lockdown gave us the opportunity for some out of water maintenance. Maybe a clean hull will make us go faster once racing re-commences 😁

In 25 knot winds the crew pulled off a great win.. 🏆 congratulations for a great start in trying conditions 🎉 ...and we were lucky to be escorted by dolphins most of the way.. 🐬⛵😊

Wednesday looks a little too much for a small crew.. but Saturday should be nice..

No. 2 jib perhaps?? Skippers call on the day.. 😊
