First time I've ever had to properly use this. Eventually a dog was going to rush us, especially because I try not to walk around busy areas. The dog was protecting his property, even though we were on the road, dogs don't know where their property ends, they just want the scary thing to go away, but he kept coming at us, so had to use it, still didn't go home, but he did back off a few metres until we could get out of range. The dogs I had with me couldn't have fought back, not a chance, so if this dog was to attack us, I'm the one who had to protect them. It does work and I didn't say a thing. If I were to yell, the other two would have freaked!
