π₯ TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT π₯
After weeks of training, development sessions, conversations and evaluations, we are proud to officially announce the 8 players selected to represent the SEQ Wheelchair Rugby League Team at Nationals.
This was an incredibly difficult process for both Head Coach Adam Schefe and Manager Kerri-Ann Woodbury. The growth across the SEQ community has been unbelievable, and the depth of talent, effort and commitment on display made every decision tough.
To every athlete who put themselves forward β thank you. The standard continues to rise and this selection shows just how far our region has come.
Congratulations to:
π Boston Charles
π Daniel Anstey
π Dan Scott
π Dylan Gawthorne
π Jack Kruger
π John Clarke
π Ryan Charles
π Zeke Field
These athletes have earned their place through hard work, consistency, attitude and dedication to the team environment.
A huge congratulations also to our leadership group:
π Adam Schefe β Head Coach
π Kerri-Ann Woodbury β Manager
Nationals is about more than results. Itβs about representing the SEQ community, building pathways, inspiring future players and continuing to grow wheelchair rugby league across Queensland.
This is only the beginning.
π₯ Pride. Passion. Possibility π₯

SEQ Community Update πβΏ
Our May sessions kick off from this weekend and weβre excited to trial a new format across the 4 sessions in May!
These sessions will now include:
πΉ Junior games on a brand new junior-sized court
πΉ A development-skilled game on the main court
πΉ A rep-level game following the development match
The goal behind this format is simple, to help level up every player within the SEQ community, no matter where you are in your journey.
Across these sessions, we encourage everyone to focus on:
β
How you like to play
β
How you learn best
β
Where you play best on the court
β
What role suits you within a team
β
How much youβve already improved
β
How much more growth you still have ahead of you
This is a great opportunity for all players, juniors, developing athletes and experienced rep players to build confidence, game awareness and skill development in the right environments.
Weβre excited to see the growth of our community continue both on and off the court. Letβs make May a massive month for SEQ Wheelchair Rugby League πͺπ₯
