Following a fantastic turnout at our AGM, we’re pleased to introduce the BTFC Committee for 2027. ⚽

📣 TREASURER WANTED
We still have an opportunity for someone to join our Management Committee as Treasurer.

Bookkeeping or accounts experience is preferred, with familiarity in Xero an advantage. You won’t be doing it alone — the role will be supported by a qualified accountant who sits on the committee.

🏆 STILL RIDING THE GRAND FINAL HIGH! 🏆💚💛

Congratulations to our U15 FQPL GRAND FINAL CHAMPIONS! ⚽🔥🏆

We asked our Technical Director, Mark Delaney, to give us his rundown on the U15 FQPL Grand Final win and reflect on the team’s incredible season.

Here’s what Mark had to say… 👇

The BITS u14/15 FQPL team managed to overcome the previously unbeaten Clinton team who have performed consistently well across the season to win the first FQPL grand final for the club.

After coming second in the league we knew that we needed to be at our very best and the team performed to deliver the result in a very close, keenly fought grand final.

James Grayer scored the goals but every player had a golden grand final moment.

Our GK Adele made some crucial saves,
Edi and Jordy and the defensive unit dealt well with there attacking threats throughout the game.

Our midfields worked themselves to a standstill and the wingers had pace, skill in attack and the heart to work back and do the energy sapping yards in defence.

Shout out to Bodhi whose positive energy and competitive nature set the tone for the day his hustle on the ball and off the pitch led to key contributions in the build up to the goals.

A champion effort from a quality group of players.

A shout out to Clinton Football CLUB who set a very high bar this year.

Thankyou to all those who made this win possible. The season is long and we really couldn’t have done it without you.

Let’s go again in 2027.

BTFC is deeply saddened by the passing of Sean Irons.

Sean was a valued part of our football community, playing for BITS in the 1980s before going on to coach and contribute to the game for many years.

We join with Clinton Football CLUB in extending our heartfelt condolences to Sean’s family, friends, former teammates, players and everyone within the football community who had the privilege of knowing him.

Sean’s contribution to football over the years will be remembered, and our thoughts are with all those mourning his loss.

At the request of Sean’s family, those attending his funeral are invited to wear their club colours as a sign of respect and recognition of the important part football played in Sean’s life.

A fitting tribute to a man who gave so much of his time to the game we all love.

Rest in peace, Sean. ⚽💚💛

They’ve worked hard all season, played some fantastic football, and now it’s time to bring it all together when it matters most. 💪⚽
