Last night I had the privilege of sharing my mothering journey with the beautiful women at the Growing and Glowing Pregnancy Support Group, speaking about motherhood, surrender, inner work and the breath.
Motherhood stretched me in ways I could never have anticipated. It challenged my need for control, perfection and certainty, and ultimately became one of the greatest invitations into my own inner work.
As I prepared to share my story, I felt a wave of emotion arise. I hadn’t shared it in quite some time.
And I was reminded of something my mentor once said:
“Sharing your story is not only a gift to others, but can be deeply healing for yourself.”
It got me thinking about the stories we carry, the experiences we move through, and what happens when we’re able to share them from a place of integration.
Hearing someone else’s story is exactly what reminds us: “Me too”, “I’m not alone”, “I can keep going”.
I’ve shared more of this reflection and my own journey with surrender over on my Substack.

I’m an Occupational Therapist and Inner Work Coach, so I’ve always been deeply interested in the relationship between the mind, the body and the way we actually function in the world.
And something I’ve come to understand deeply through my own work (and personal experience) is this:
You can understand yourself intellectually and still not feel safe in your body.
Talk therapy can be incredibly powerful. Not everything we experience is happening at the level of conscious thought.
Our nervous system, physiology and body are constantly communicating with our brain and influencing how we experience stress, emotions, safety, connection and regulation.
And let’s not forget the physical factors too. For example, chronic pain, ADHD, autism, hormonal changes, dysautonomia, hypermobility, sensory differences, sleep and chronic illness can all shape the way we experience, respond to and move through the world.
This is why I’m always looking at the whole human, rather than trying to fit someone into one modality.
Sometimes the work is talking it through. Sometimes it’s nervous system regulation, breathwork, somatic practices, movement or sensory strategies. And sometimes energetic practices become part of the picture too.
There’s no single pathway, and for many people, they need different doors inward. My role is to stay curious about the whole person and draw from different evidence-informed and experiential practices to find what actually supports YOU.
I’m welcoming some new humans into my field this Spring. If you know you have different factors at play and you’re ready to explore what’s really going on, I’d love to connect. I offer bespoke programs and packages, shaped around the individual human rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Book a complimentary connection call through the link in my bio. Returning clients also welcome. 🙏🏻

This was literally my recommendation last week with a busy mum I was coaching.
She came into our session stressed, overwhelmed and burnt out. She felt like she was failing at all the things — mum life, her career, the extracurricular activities, and was caught in the constant story that there simply aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything.
So rather than sending her away with another thing to add to her already overflowing list, I gave her one simple task…
Turn your phone off outside of work hours.
Yep… not before 9am, and definitely not after the kids go down.
Instead, use that time to actually be with yourself. To breathe. To be present. To let your nervous system come out of “doing” mode and let it simply down regulate.
I’m noticing this so much in the humans I’ve been working with lately.
There are just too many distractions… notifications… so many things competing for our attention. Too many little dopamine hits pulling us away from ourselves.
We’ve lost the ability to simply be present in the life we’ve created.
We don’t necessarily need another meditation app, another morning routine or another journalling practice. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply remove the noise.
Put the phone down.
And actually be where your feet are.
Big love,
Hayles xx
P.S. For the record, I LOVE meditation 😂 I recommend it all the time because learning to bring your mind back to the present is one of the most powerful practices we can cultivate.
But sometimes when you’re at capacity… the answer isn’t to add something else to the to do list. It can be as simple as… stop consuming so much unnecessary sh*t. It’s something I’ve implemented into my work week, and it works a treat.
Turn. The. Phone. Off. 😘

It’s short-term pain relief.
When you connect with the right therapist or coach, you gain insight, or get the breakthrough. You finally put words to something you’ve been carrying, and you leave the session feeling lighter, clearer… like something has shifted.
And something has shifted. However, don’t mistake that feeling of relief for healing.
Healing is what happens after the session.
It’s what you do with the insight you’ve been given. It’s how you respond in the moments that used to trigger you. It’s what you choose to think, say and do behind closed doors when no one is watching.
This is the part that changes your life.
I see this time and time again with people doing deep inner work. They experience the breakthrough and the relief that follows, and it’s easy to believe, “I’ve done the work”. “I’m healed”. “Now I can move on”.
However, insight alone doesn’t create change.
Healing is repetition and practice. It’s choosing, over and over again, to become the person your insight is inviting you to be.
Your coaching session opens the door. The healing happens in the way you embody it every single day. 🙏🏻

Do you know what I’m seeing a lot in the women I’m working with lately?
High-functioning, high-achieving women in jobs and careers who are realising just how deeply they want to anchor into motherhood. Even more than that, many of them are recognising how much they’ve still been operating from their maiden… still striving, still achieving, still running the house and building their careers in the same way they did before they had children. There is nothing wrong with that season. It got them to where they are. But when the awakening comes, and they can feel the maiden beginning to disolve within them, something profound shifts.
They realise how much they love being present with their children. How much they want to be there for the drop-offs and pick-ups, the little everyday moments that once felt ordinary but now feel deeply meaningful. They want to be the energy of the home. They want a regulated nervous system. They want to mother from presence rather than from depletion.
Does that mean they no longer desire success in their careers? Not at all. But success begins to take on a different meaning. Being the energy of the home becomes success. Feeling spacious while parenting becomes success. Having the capacity to actually enjoy this season of life becomes success.
They realise that while their children are young, the ladder can wait. The dopamine hit they once received from climbing, achieving and proving is slowly replaced by the quiet fulfilment of being the mum who gets to do the gymnastics drop-off, who is there at sports day, who gets to soak in these years that pass so quickly.
I think it’s time we started celebrating mothers more. The women who choose to tend to the home. It doesn’t mean both can’t co-exsist. It simply means that sometimes your values shift, your priorities rearrange themselves, and the life you once thought you wanted no longer feels like the life your heart is asking for.
If this is you, Mumma… I see you.

If you’ve done the “healing”, but you’re still second-guessing yourself...
If your intuition feels more like a whisper than something you can confidently trust...
If you’re craving a deeper relationship with yourself rather than another strategy...
This is the work I love most.
Thank you to every woman who trusted me, herself, and the process inside The Oracle. Watching your transformation has been one of the greatest honours of my work.
If you’re feeling the quiet pull toward this kind of work, I’m opening the waitlist for the next women’s group program. Reach out… I’d love to connect.

Felt the warmth of the sun on your skin?
The cool breeze through your hair?
The dirt or grass between your toes and beneath your feet?
We are living in a world that moves so fast. I’m witnessing it in session every day. Calendars are full, minds are busy, and nervous systems are at capacity.
We are becoming more disconnected from our true nature than ever before.
This is your reminder, perhaps a permission slip to… turn down the noise. Step outside. Feel the sun on your face. Take a deep breath. Give yourself this moment and BE. 🤲🏻🙏🏻

Return to Her Women’s Breathwork & Energy Event is back by popular demand. This is a women’s gathering to slow down, soften and come home to yourself.
There is something powerful that happens when women gather with the intention to simply be.
In a world that constantly asks us to do more, have more, hold more, and think more, Return to Her is an invitation to pause. To step away from the noise, close the unending tabs running in your mind, and reconnect with the part of you that has been waiting underneath it all.
There is a common theme with the women I work with… They’re managing the mental load, caring for others, juggling responsibilities, and carrying an endless stream of thoughts, plans, and decisions. Eventually, we forget what it feels like to simply be with ourselves.
Return to Her is an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and devote a few hours entirely to you. This is an afternoon to exhale.
Through breathwork, energy healing, connection, and community, you’ll be guided into a space where the mind can soften, the body can unwind, and your spirit can come alive again. A space to feel deeply nourished, supported, and connected.
Following our journey, we’ll gather together for a nourishing light meal and the opportunity to connect with like-hearted women in a warm and welcoming space.
Saturday 4 July 2026

Life has a funny way of coming full circle.
Recently, I sat down with one of my former mentors, for a conversation on her podcast. Kelly was one of the people who supported me in growing my personal training business over 18 years ago, so it felt incredibly special to reconnect and share this chapter of my journey.
In this conversation, we explore something I see every single day in my work with women:
Feeling stuck, disconnected, and lacking a sense of purpose or meaning because we’ve unknowingly outsourced our power.
We’ve learned to look outside of ourselves for answers, validation, certainty, and direction, while disconnecting from the wisdom that already exists within us.
We dive into:
✨ What outsourcing your power actually looks like in everyday life
✨ Why capable, intelligent women often do it without realising
✨ The difference between intuition and fear, and how to discern between the two
✨ Why we sabotage ourselves when things start working
✨ What nervous system regulation really looks like in business and life
✨ How to stop living from pressure and start leading yourself from trust
This conversation goes far beyond mindset.
It’s about learning to come home to yourself, quieting the noise, reconnecting with your inner knowing, and becoming the source of your own power.
If you’ve ever found yourself overthinking, second-guessing, people-pleasing, or looking everywhere else for the answer, this episode is for you.
🎙️ Podcast link is in my bio.
If you listen, I’d love to hear your biggest takeaway.
