Nathan 'Whippy' Griggs at the Rec Club

This Tuesday Night 29th September, the Boorowa Recreation Club is hosting a performance by Nathan 'Whippy' Griggs. Starting at 6:30pm.

The Golf Club will be on the BBQ serving some hot food on the night, raising a few dollars for the 100th Gungewalla Cup on October 25.

The course played short today and is in great condition thanks to our volunteers. Greg Atkins sponsored with the annual Stones on the first tee.
18 players for a stroke event with a few novelties, NTPs and LDs thrown in.

Glorious day for golf today and the ladies enjoyed the extra run. Thanks to the volunteers for your hard work. We played for Di Sykes Trophy which was a stableford plus NTP on the 4th( 2nd shot). Del Greig won NTP with an amazing shot which finished 40cm from the flag.Not bad for a senior.
Felicity Corcoran played one of her best rounds ever with 42 pts to win the Stableford Trophy.Golf is great when the shots go your way.🤗

On October 24th and 25th 2026, Boorowa Golf Club is hosting the 100th Year of the Gungewalla Cup.

Saturday 24th October - 2 Person Ambrose. Non-members welcome. Mens, Womens or mixed pairs.

Saturday Night 24th October - Calcutta Evening at Boorowa Rec Club starting from 6:30pm

Sunday 25th October:
Gungewalla Cup - 36 holes. BGC Mens Active Full Members (up to 27 handicap)

Hagan Cup - 36 holes. BGC Mens Active Full Members (over 27 handicap)

Ryan's Creek Trophy - 18 holes. Open to members or non-members.

TOM CORCORAN FATHER'S DAY TROPHY

Sunday 6th September 2026

14 golfers took to the course yesterday for a Sunday Stableford sponsored by Tom Corcoran. The course was in absolutely great nick thanks to some handy weather and heaps of hours on the tractor, mower and on the greens the past couple of weeks. Thanks to our volunteers for all of this help.

Winner of the Day was Will McGuiness, with runner up going to Felicity Corcoran.
NTP on the 4th was Phil Johnston
NTP on the 17th was Graham Jones
Father's Day Prize won by Vince Lesslie

Unfortunately we only had 4 hardy golfers today so we postponed Bev Crowes Memorial Ambrose and played a club trophy stableford instead. Di Sykes' good form continued and she won the day. We decided to also play match play to practise before SW pennants next month. 2 very close matches were played to the end and Felicity Corcoran and Di Sykes won their matches. We all agreed it was fun to challenge ourselves with a different format. Bevs trophy now scheduled for 2nd October so hopefully more players are available then.
