Have you ever finished a conversation and thought... “I want more of his energy”? 💚
That’s exactly how I felt after recording this week’s podcast with philosopher and Hungry, Beautiful Animals author, Matthew Halteman.
There were so many moments where I found myself thinking, “This is exactly the kind of advocacy I want to model.”
✨ What if curiosity changes more hearts than judgement?
✨ What if people don’t resist compassion because they’re bad people... but because they’re protecting the stories that make sense of their world?
✨ What if we became masterful at demonstrating that becoming vegan isn’t about giving something up... it’s about stepping into a more abundant way of living?
One idea I especially loved:
An aspiring mindset is curious, forward-looking and opportunity-focused.
That feels like such a hopeful way to approach advocacy... and life.
If you’ve ever felt frustrated that someone you care about “just doesn’t get it,” I think you’ll find this conversation refreshing.
It reminded me that change rarely happens because we push harder.
It happens when curiosity opens a door that defensiveness never could.

I loved this coaching update.

She wasn’t waiting until she felt motivated.
She wasn’t trying to fix everything.

✔️ Kitchen.
✔️ Fridge.
✔️ Freezer.
That’s often all it takes.
Momentum rarely arrives first.

When people ask me what makes healthy habits stick, they often expect a meal plan, a workout or a list of foods.
Those things matter.
However before any of that comes the foundation.
🥕 C — Clarity
Know what you’re working towards and why it matters to you.
🥕 A — Alignment
Build habits that reflect your values instead of constantly fighting them.
🥕 R — Routines
Simple, repeatable routines beat perfect plans every time.
🥕 R — Rules
Create a few personal rules that remove decision fatigue and make healthy choices the easy choices.
🥕 O — Only focus on what you can control
Your effort. Your choices. Your response. That’s where your power is.
🥕 T — Treat your body like you’re on the same team
Because you are. And it’s the only one you’ll ever get.

This framework isn’t about perfection.
It’s about making healthy living feel simpler, lighter and more sustainable.

One of the biggest mindset shifts you can make?
Learning not to judge your whole journey by one difficult day.

This client had an incredible day.
She trained.
She food prepped.
She felt energised and happy.

The next day?
Poor sleep.
Less energy.
A completely different mood.

That’s life.
Not every day is meant to feel amazing.
The goal isn’t perfect days.
It’s continuing anyway.

Consistency is built by accepting the ups and downs—not being controlled by them. 🌱
