🌸🌸Happy Spring !! A Kobudo Spring!! 🌸🌸
The Season of Rebirth and Growth.
Spring is the season of new beginnings.
It is a time to refresh, renew, and grow—not only in nature, but within ourselves.
As martial artists, Spring reminds us that every day is an opportunity to refine our technique, strengthen our spirit, and deepen our understanding of Budo.
Make this season one of purpose.
Refresh your technique. Train with greater focus. Challenge yourself to become a better martial artist than you were yesterday.
Spring is also the perfect time to renew every aspect of your life:
1. Refresh your mind.
2. Organise your home.
3. Re-energise your work.
4. Recommit to your health and wellbeing.
5. Strengthen your body, mind, and spirit.
Remember:
Stay Well, Stay Healthy, Stay Strong & Stay Happy

A Warm Welcome to Our Newest Members
On behalf of the Okinawa Genbu Ryu Kobudo Organisation, it gives me great pleasure to officially welcome our newest members who joined us during our So-Hombu Dojo Kobudo Camp Day.
A sincere welcome to:
* Sensei Dan Fitzgerald – Kyokushin Karate Albury Dojo
* Sempai Jack Evans – representing Cirillo’s RMA Griffith Dojo
It is also wonderful to once again welcome and acknowledge our existing member instructors:
* Sensei James Ellis – Shojinkan Goju Ryu Karate Dojo
* Sensei Sarah Irving and Sensei Scott Irving – Funakoshi Karate Warrnambool Dojo
As always, I extend my appreciation to all of our existing members and instructors who continue to support and strengthen our Kobudo program.
It is extremely pleasing to witness the enthusiasm, dedication and commitment shown by everyone who has invested their weekend to travel from various parts of Australia to Sydney to train together. This commitment reflects the true spirit of Budo - the continual pursuit of knowledge, self-improvement, discipline and mutual respect.
Kobudo is more than the study of traditional Okinawan weapons. It preserves an important part of our martial heritage while developing timing, coordination, distance, body mechanics and martial awareness that enhances every aspect of our karate training. Through this shared journey, we build not only better martial artists, but stronger friendships and a united martial arts community.
Thank you all for your commitment to keeping the traditions of Okinawan Kobudo alive. I look forward to many more years of training, learning and growing together.

Happy Winter.
Winter is HERE!!!
With the arrival of Winter comes an opportunity to deepen our Budo through reflection, refinement, and renewal.
Winter is a powerful season for self-examination. It is a time to reflect on our journey, fine-tune our techniques, strengthen our spirit, and appreciate both Budo & KOBUDO and life itself.
As nature slows and gathers strength beneath the surface, so too should we focus on the small details that lead to great improvement. Let us use this Winter to carefully polish our fundamentals, correct our weaknesses, and reinforce our strengths.
When we return to the Dojo, let us dedicate ourselves to improving just a few key aspects of our technique throughout the Winter months. Through consistent effort and mindful training, these small improvements will grow into significant progress.
Then, when Spring arrives, we can put our reflections into action and emerge stronger, sharper, and more capable—ready to explode forward as better
Budo-ka and better people.
Reflect. Refine. Rebuild.
Let's Do It....
