2026 Foxy Ambrosia Day

Our winners by the slimmest of margins were Dean Clarke & Dave Wright (both pictured) with a Nett score of 58.
Nathan Annen & Chris Sutanto were two shots off the Nett win (4th) but had the consolation of winning the Scratch event held in conjunction.

For their efforts they’re the recipients of some of FootJoys finest products.

Semi-Final vs North Ryde
Venue : Springwood @ 8am

After a couple of lacklustre performances to close out the Home & Away Season, our ‘Old Foxes’ were aware they’d need to be at our best against the #1 Seeds in today’s Semi-Final, and that we were.

Both sides had moments where they threatened to seize the ascendancy throughout the day, and as the match edged deep into the ‘Back 9’ it was Fox Hills who clinched the early points with Peter Nolan (2/1), then Shaun Fulton (3/2), then Brian Stevenson (3/1) who delivered as we crept out to a 3-1 lead.
Zane George, Mick Davies & Matt Relph had all came back from early deficits to be ‘All Square’ with only a few remaining holes to play.
We needed at least one more winner to ensure a tie, and anything extra would be enough to clinch the result.
Of the 4 still live games, North Ryde won the first three to open up a 4-3 lead, before our #2 Mick Davies won 1up to tie the match 4-4.
In the rare occurrence of a Finals play-off match finishing regulation play all tied up, each team selects a player to play sudden-death with the winner of that head-to-head determining the result.
Still warm as our last winning player to finish regulation play, we selected
Mick Davies as North Ryde selected their #1 player to oppose him, with everything on the line.
The sudden-death playoff would last 7 holes, so it wasn’t particularly sudden.
On the 4th play-off hole, North Ryde had a 6 foot putt to win and missed, then moments later on the 5th extra hole we had a 3 foot putt to win and returned the favour.
Sadly, North Ryde would go on to win on the 7th play-off hole but our ‘Old Foxes’ have put together a fantastic season and one all involved should be very proud of.
We had two undefeated players in Shaun Fulton (7 Matches) who won this year’s MVP Award and Peter Nolan (4 Matches) whose late introduction brought instant results.
Thanks to all of our ‘Caddies & Supporters’ group who bring a camaraderie and spirit that’s etched into the fabric of our amazing Club.

2026 Masters Pennant - Rd 6

We hosted Beverley Park in the final round of the Home & Away season knowing a 4-4 tied Match would be sufficient to win the Section and that’s exactly how it played out.
Our point scorers being Pete Nolan who was promoted into the starting team in Rd 4 and has since gone WWW, a resurgent Michael Knight, and our two anchors who both remain undefeated in Garry Sinclair & (MVP Leader) Shaun Fulton.
After a blistering start to the season our ‘Old Foxes’ have cooled a little in recent weeks but still did enough to earn a Semi-Final berth where we’ll meet the #1 Seed in North Ryde GC.
Well done to all of our team members, caddies & supporters group who have contributed to our advancing to the playoffs.

2026 Foursomes Championship

Congratulations to all of our winners throughout the respective Events & Grades, but special mention to Bodge Pickham & Sheepy Douglas who fired off the best Rd of the day on their way to winning B Grade Nett with a score of 57 !!

Masters Pennant - Rd 5

Our ‘Old Foxes’ were on the road against Beverley Park GC where a favourable result would’ve seen us clinch the Section with a Rd to spare, however it wasn’t to be with the Home Team running out winners by the margin of 6-2.
Peter Nolan was our only player to win his game, though Garry Sinclair & Shaun Fulton both tied their games to maintain their respective unbeaten season records.
Next week (Rd 6) we host and get the opportunity to return the favour,
with the incentive that as much as a tied Match being sufficient to earn a Semi-Final berth.

We hosted Brighton Lakes with the visitors keen to extract some form of payback after our epic win on their turf in the previous Rd, but it wasn’t to be with our ‘Old Foxes’ too good on the day, eventually winning by the margin of 6-2.
Special mention to the individual efforts of Garry Sinclair & Shaun Fulton who both remain unbeaten.
A win next week on the road at Beverley Park will guarantee a well earned Semi-Final berth.
