There’s a freedom in acknowledging how often we focus on “the bad”. Because it opens the door for us to begin finding the good, however sparingly it comes. You must keep reminding yourself that you’re human, and that with every swing you’re giving it the fullest effort. What a change of scenery it is when you focus on the good shots, the good swings. The few shots that fly off the clubface effortlessly, or the sunken chip from an impossible spot. So today I’ll practice my ability to change the lens, to soften the focus and zone in on the good. Let me give pardon to the bad shots and find life in the greatness of the game — especially those moments that are hardest to find.

Awesome last round before the course closes at the end of the month. Got some beautiful pictures of the short and hilly public course here in Brisbane. Good news is a new public course is opening in Cannon Hill hopefully soon. Best part of the day is that RGC Members got his first birdie and had a great chip in, nearly had 2 holes in one and smoked some of the best drives he has every hit. It was one of the the funnest rounds I have ever played. That's what's it's all about... having fun and creating memories!!!!

Play your game. This game is yours to play alongside the right people, so you might as well play your own game. It’s yours to win, it’s yours to lose. Work on your swing, work on your putting stroke, work on your pre-shot routine, work on your mental routine. Fix your slice, or lean into your draw. Take tips and apply them to your game. Make sure that you do everything you can to enjoy your own golf game. And play your ball as it lies.

Send it. Tee off early, tee off late, get as many holes in as you can, pull over by the cliff and roast one into the sun, clap at good shots on other holes, ask the starter where they’re from, tell the greenskeeper their turf is pure, enjoy the next shot no matter how many trees it hits on the way to the ground, trade headcovers, swing recklessly on the last, savor a clipped wedge, putt like the hole is a pizza, celebrate like it’s a pinhole, and give thanks on the last. Send it.
