Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for our Redlands Combined Women, going down 22–17 to Sunnybank Dragons Senior Rugby in yesterday’s QSRU SEQ Cup Grand Final held at the Redland Bay Cyclones Rugby Union Club.

While the result wasn’t what we wanted, the girls can be incredibly proud of what they achieved to reach the Grand Final and the effort they put in right until the final whistle.

A huge congratulations to Sunnybank on their victory and thank you to everyone who came out to support our women.

To our players, coaches Tiki Tuapou and James Nikora, manager Anna Pengelly, and everyone who has supported the team throughout the season — thank you. 👏

You represented the Muddies with pride, determination and plenty of heart. ❤️💚
