If our club had a face, it would be Filip's.

Fil has been with us for nine years through the lowest of the lows and the highest of the highs, and no matter who came calling, he never left. In that time he's become the true soul of SPA and the living embodiment of everything we stand for.

This club has given him lifelong friends, and it's also where he met his wife. A Croatian at the heart of what we do, and someone we'll always be grateful to. 🇭🇷

Our Japanese members are one of the best parts of this club, and we're genuinely grateful for everything they bring to our community both on and off the court.

Keiichi Kato has become one of the most iconic Japanese players to pull on an SPA shirt, and it didn't take long for him to make his mark as a great friend, a valued member of the club and a killer pivot in our Men's team.

Have a listen to what he has to say about us. 🇯🇵🙏⚽

We wish Thali Ziero a great season in Victoria for her (maybe) last season as player on the field.

Thali will be still involved in the club in other roles but this was a great chance for her to conclude her career as a player in an excellent league in Australia

🇧🇷💪🏼

🖤🤍 WELCOME TO HUME, THALI ZIERO! 🤍🖤

After spending 14–15 years playing professionally in Italy, Thali hung up her boots two years ago and transitioned into coaching.

Now serving as the Assistant Coach of the Australian Women’s Futsal National Team, Thali brings a wealth of experience, passion and knowledge of the game to Hume.

We’re incredibly excited to have her on board and look forward to seeing the impact she’ll make! ⚽️🔥

WELCOME TO HUME, THALI! 🖤🤍

Our club is a melting pot of cultures, listen to our favourite Brazilian duo 🇧🇷

Julia joined the club in 2020, she fought hard on the famous blue tiles at the futsal centre and helped secure our 4th minor Premiership. Thali joined in 2024, after a professional career in futsal in Italy and already achieved so much with us at the club and in general with Futsal in Australia.

Both have been instrumental in securing our last state title and 13th minor premiership in WA.

An update for our South Perth Alliance community.

Last week we shared a post celebrating Football West's announcement that the F-League is returning to WA. Supa Liga's response was to demand the club show cause, describing our post as "intentionally and implicitly comparative and inflammatory" towards their competitions, even though it made no reference to Supa Liga or any other competition. We asked which words were problematic and under what authority the demand was made, and neither question was answered.

We have now been advised that South Perth Alliance is no longer welcome in Supa Liga competitions beyond this season.

So it is worth reminding everyone who this club is.

South Perth Alliance is a community of more than 100 players, parents, and volunteers. For 15 years, we have been known for welcoming players of every level and for providing a safe environment where people can belong and thrive in the sport of futsal, and that same community has carried this club to the national and international stage. Our women's program has run for 15 years, with participation completely free for more than a decade, until rising costs across the sport made that impossible to sustain. Even then, we have kept fees as affordable as we possibly can. We have represented Australia in FIFA-sanctioned competition, and we helped one of our own become one of the very first professional women's futsal players in Serie A in Italy.

That is what this club has given the sport.

We accept the decision, we thank the clubs and families we have shared the court with, and we congratulate everyone involved in the grand finals.

Our future lies where it always has, with the sport of futsal. We support the F-League Football West is building, and we intend to be part of it from day one, as we did back in 2024.

Nothing changes about who we are.

See you all very soon.

Congratulations to our very own Thali Ziero for this new appointment and to one of our favourite rivals of many futsal battles Nestor Javier Fonseca.

Great to see Football West appoint two of the most qualified and experienced people we have in WA and in Australia when it comes to Futsal.

Football West is excited to announce the appointment of two of WA futsal’s most successful figures.

Nestor Fonseca and Thali Ziero Lunelli join the organisation as Futsal Pathways Coordinators. They will oversee its futsal program, from growing community participation to developing sustainable pathways and helping bring through high-performance players.

They will also be involved with building up the F-League competition.

Thali began playing in her native Brazil before enjoying a 14-year professional career in Italy’s Futsal Serie A. She is the current Australia Women’s Futsal National Team Assistant Coach, as well as coaching WA sides at the National Futsal Championships.

“My goal is to help people fall in love with futsal, support player development and create clear pathways from community participation to high performance," she said.

Nestor had 10 years as a top player in Colombia and France before moving into coaching. He has held key leadership roles within the WA futsal community and brings extensive strategic and operational expertise.

“My primary focus is on player development and building sustainable pathways for WA players, whether their goal is elite national representation or grassroots community participation," he said.

South Perth Alliance FC welcomes Football West 's announcement that the F-League will return with a properly structured competition, real governance behind it, and clear pathways from state futsal all the way to the national stage.

This is what our sport has been asking for. A league run by the state governing body means consistent standards, pathways for officials, coaches, players and a competition our players, families, sponsors and volunteers can trust season after season.

We've always believed futsal in WA deserved this level of structure and ambition. Credit to Football West for listening to the futsal community and backing the game properly.

Futsal is back 👟⚡

Our F-League returns this Term 4, bringing Men’s and Women’s futsal teams in WA together with centralised match days and rotating venues.

Designed for clubs and players looking for the highest level of futsal in the state with a clear pathway towards national competition 🏆

Football West’s F-League is more than just a local league. Registrations opening soon - stay tuned 🔜

$10,205 in a couple of days For Asuka. 🩵

We are still processing this.

When we launched Asuka's GoFundMe on Saturday morning, we hoped the futsal community would show up. What actually happened went so far beyond anything we imagined. $9,700 in the first 24 hours.

Donations from Perth, from over east, from around the world. Players, coaches, former players, and complete strangers who saw her story and just gave.

That is not normal. That is something special.
Asuka is home now, and she asked us to share this with you. She is sitting with her phone genuinely overwhelmed. Not just by the money, but by the fact that so many people, most of whom she has never met, looked at her situation and decided to help. She feels supported in a way she didn't know was possible this far from home. She is grateful in a way she says she can't properly put into words yet.

That $10,205 is going to make a real difference across the months ahead. It means she can focus entirely on healing and rehabilitation without the panic of how she pays rent or puts food on the table. It means she gets the care and recovery support she deserves. It means she doesn't have to choose between her health and her survival.

She has told us one thing very clearly. She will be back on that pitch. And every single one of us will be there when she is.

This is what the futsal community is, a community that shows up when it counts.

Thank you. Every donor. Every person who shared.

Every stranger who gave without knowing her name a week ago.

You gave Asuka a lot more than we ever imagined. 🩵

Donate to One tackle changed everything for Asuka, organized by Roberto Boi 20/06/2026

Last night, our teammate Asuka suffered a serious injury on the court.

A tackle broke her leg and required emergency surgery.

She's in Australia on a Working Holiday visa with no sick leave, no government support, and a recovery that could stretch months - including a possible second surgery.

She has nothing but the community she built here in Perth.

Click the link to donate or share her GoFundMe with your networks, your club, and anyone who believes in looking after each other.

Asuka gives everything for this club. Let's give something back. 🤍

Every step forward this club has taken, Sanyan Group has been part of it.

From the moment Sanyan Group came on board, their belief in what we're building here has made a genuine difference - not just on the pitch, but in the culture and spirit of this club.

Because of their support, we've been able to focus on what truly matters: growing the game, nurturing our community, and making sure this club is a place where everyone belongs.

To Sanyan Group and everyone behind it - thank you for standing behind more than just a football club. You've supported a whole community of people, and that is something we will never take for granted.

Here's to what's ahead. 🙌
