Musings

Yesterday around dusk Adam and I went for a stroll at blackhead beach. Our beach. I’d been feeling a bit discombobulated and asked for a sign. After all I had been reading about angels….

Along came a W***y waggail dancing beside me. Smallest little bird I’ve ever seen at the beach. I stopped to say hi and just to be sure he was real. He wagged his feathered tail and danced for me. Up and down the beach, down and around, coming in close then stepping back. A little flit in the air. a twirl and a whirl. a delightful happy prance.

I’ve never seen or had this happen before.

Just before the bird came I asked for another sign… a love heart maybe.

And right there as the ocean splashed at the shore where two perfectly round side by side sea shells. Another first. No other shells in sight. Peng and I 💕

Today when picking up my angel book again the first paragraph I read said ‘An angel is a bird with a person in the middle’ (age 4 ‘in children talk about angels’)

You can’t make this stuff up….

Not for the first or last time I feel a stirring and restlessness building inside. The two halves clashing. Perhaps and definitely these little guests are sent from above to remind me when I forget that all is ok…more than ok….and as it should be.

I miss my family a lot today. How lucky I am to know that love near and far. Here and there. Need to bask in them more often. It’s special there.
