The biggest weekend of the year for BJFC is here! Our Junior teams are ready to battle it out for Grand Final glory 💪

And it truly is one club - with plenty of familiar Senior faces also playing a role in our Junior program 👏

From family connections like Grace Morrissey, Mitch Fitzsimon and Finn Rowe-Hansen, to Darby Heelis, Annabelle Kidd and Abby Stuber coaching our Juniors while also playing Seniors! The future of our club is in great hands 🔥

WOW 🤩 That was a weekend for the ages! 3 strong wins across all 3 Men’s teams as they kick off their respective finals campaigns. The Senior’s and Reserve’s both play off in a double chance game once again next weekend - with the winner going straight to the GF. Meanwhile, the 19s play off for a spot in the Preliminary Final after hitting some fine form recently!

Congratulations to Andrew Walker who reaches 50 games for the club this weekend! Coming across in 2023, Tex had an instant impact in the midfield - utilising his big frame and skills to support our young group.

Since then, he has grown to become a natural, highly respected leader within the group, highlighted by his appointment as Co-Captain in 2026.

While it wasn’t our day on the football field - falling short of the powerhouse Endeavour Hills, we could not be more prouder of the Women this season after making their first ever Division 1 Grand Final! 👏👏

In a year where the team flipped the script and scored their first ever victories against the dominant Women’s sides of the competition, we already have our eye to next season to see what the Girls can do in 2027 💪

Thank you to the Bentleigh Army for a HUGE turnout on the day ❤️💙

Despite putting out one of the best netball matches of the season, our Netball Team 2 fell short to Highett in the SFNL Division B2 Grand Final by just 1 point in the dying minutes of the match.

We are so proud of this group for the fight they put up. They were relentless, never dropped their heads and fought until the final siren 💪

Thank you to all the supporters who showed up on Saturday to cheer our girls on till the end. ❤️💙
