🎉 Exciting news for handball in Australia!

We’re thrilled to share that Play Handball has secured renewed funding through the Australian Sports Commission’s Play Well program.

This investment means we can continue introducing more children to handball, supporting more schools, developing more coaches, and helping more communities discover our sport.

A huge thank you to the Australian Sports Commission for their continued support, and to every teacher, coach, volunteer, club and player helping grow handball across Australia.

This is another exciting step towards making handball more accessible, more visible, and available to even more Australians.

Want to help more kids, schools and communities discover handball?

We’re looking for 2 School and Communication Officers to join Handball Australia in part-time, remote roles.

You’ll help connect schools, clubs, coaches and volunteers, support participation programs, and keep our community informed and engaged.

Perfect for someone who is organised, self-motivated, great with people and excited about growing sport from the ground up.

PE gets a lot more fun when nobody’s stuck standing in a line waiting for a turn 😅

That’s why kids click with handball so quickly.

Everyone’s moving.
Everyone’s involved.
And somehow the quiet kid ends up asking for the ball by the end of the session.

A little chaotic? Sometimes.
In the best way possible.

No offence to the classics…
but maybe it’s time for something new.

Fast, fun, easy to jump into and built for every kid to have a go.

Some kids don’t need a “sport”.
They need a game that lets them sneak into confidence.

That’s the magic bit.

One throw turns into a laugh.
One run turns into “pass it to me!”
One session turns into “can we play again?”

No pressure. No perfect skills.
Just kids moving, trying, and realising they’re more capable than they thought.
