Today is World Drowning Prevention Day 🪼
Every life lost to drowning is one too many.
In Australia, hundreds of people drown each year, and many of these tragedies are preventable. Simple actions can make all the difference.
If you're visiting the pool today, please remember:
~ Keep children under 10 years within your eyesight at all times.
~ Keep children under 5 years within arm's reach whenever they are in or around the water.
Active adult supervision saves lives.
To help raise awareness, we're giving away FREE cupcakes today! Come down, enjoy a swim, grab a cupcake, and join us in supporting World Drowning Prevention Day.
Together, we can help keep our community safe around water 🐟

Men’s Health Week | 15–21 June
This Men’s Health Week, Faith Leech Aquatic Centre is encouraging the men and boys in our Bendigo community to take a moment to prioritise their health and wellbeing.
Men’s Health Week is a reminder that looking after yourself isn’t just about physical fitness - it’s also about mental health, staying connected, speaking up when things feel tough, and reaching out for support when you need it.
Whether it’s swimming a few laps, getting outdoors, booking a health check, or simply checking in with a mate, small steps can make a big difference.
If you or someone you know needs support, help is available.
MensLine Australia – 1300 78 99 78
Available 24/7 for free professional support, counselling, and advice for men across Australia. https://mensline.org.au/
Let’s continue building a Bendigo community where men feel comfortable talking about their health, staying active, and supporting one another 🐟

Today we are celebrating World Environment Day and the important role we all play in protecting our planet for future generations.
Small actions can make a big difference. Whether it's bringing a reusable water bottle to the pool, recycling correctly, reducing waste, or choosing active transport like walking or riding to your swim session, every step helps create a healthier environment.
At the Faith Leech, we're committed to doing our part by promoting sustainable practices and encouraging our community to make environmentally conscious choices 🐳

Our Winter Membership Tags have arrived! 🙌
All members must present our BLUE membership tag to enter the pool - if you are still using the white summer tag, please see reception to get your tag updated. Please remember that you need to scan in before each swim!
Also note that all summer passes from Brennan Park, Marong, Heathcote and East Bendigo are no longer accepted or valid. Please do not yell at our staff when you are told you can't enter with these memberships.
