Many of you may have caught the news released by the club and CricX - The Cricket Exchange Agency on Instagram last night - we are very pleased to announce the signing of English cricketer Lucas Smith for season 2026/27. Lucas will join us in the coming weeks after commitments with his home club, East Grinstead CC are completed.

Lucas comes to the club primarily as a top-order right-hand bat, who can turn his hand to right-arm off spin when required. He has a wealth of experience for someone at the young age of 20, even having represented France at T20 international level recently.

We will introduce Lucas to all in a more thorough update once he reaches our shores, but for now, please show our young recruit some Facebook love and welcome him to the Goers. 💙💛🏏

Hope you're all well rested because....... we're back! Senior training starts tomorrow from 10am. Coach Chicken promised no running - you'll have to be there to see if he can keep a promise.

Announcing our committee for 2026/27 after the clubs AGM over the weekend.

Thank you to outgoing members Jimmy Ryan & Gianni Mercuri, and a big welcome to to new and returning members Phebe Chant, Kyle Chant & Wayne Saunders.

Thanks also to Ashleigh Hunter who hands over the secretary reins to Dylan Lovell. Ash was ultra-reliable and tireless working as our secretary for many seasons, but with additional travel these days has taken a step back this summer. However, we are very pleased Ash will remain part of our general committee.

We hope you will join us in congratulating all tasked with leading the club off-field this season, and ask you to stay tuned as we have several good news stories to publish in the coming weeks.

The club's AGM is scheduled for Sunday 26th July from 11am at Bendigo District RSL .

BCC once again held our golf day at Neangar Park Golf Club. The course was presented in absolutely magnificent condition, and the golf club staff were fantastic in their support of the BCC.

We wish past players Sam Elliott & Jimmy Seymour all the best as they play off in Grand Finals this weekend - and they're kind of big finals too.

Sam will take the field with Victoria as they take on South Australia at the Junction Oval from tomorrow, and Jimmy represents St Kilda CC in the 1st XI Grand Final vs Melbourne CC at The Albert.
