The Central Victorian Football League Grand Final is just around the corner, and we’ve got an exciting opportunity for girls aged 5–12 to get involved!

At half-time of the Senior Women’s Grand Final, you will have the chance to take to the QEO and play a game of footy!

The Storm take on the Hawks for the right to face undefeated Woorinen in next week’s Grand Final.

When these two sides met in Round 10, it was Strathfieldsaye who prevailed by just nine points — but Eaglehawk will arrive full of confidence after their impressive Semi Final victory over White Hills.

With so little separating these teams, expect a cracking contest from the opening bounce!

Three-time reigning Premiers Castlemaine are back in the Preliminary Final and will be desperate to respond after last weekend's Semi Final defeat to Golden Square.

Standing in their way are the Sandhurst Dragons, who will be looking to make a statement and book their place in next week's Grand Final against the Doggies.

The Home & Away ledger favours the Magpies 2-1, but as we all know… Finals football is a different beast!

Can Castlemaine keep their Premiership defence alive? Or will Sandhurst rise to the occasion and earn a shot at the ultimate prize?

With the Preliminary Finals tonight and the Grand Finals next Friday, we’re expecting big crowds at the QEO — so there are a few important things all spectators need to know.

🚗 NO PARKING INSIDE THE VENUE unless a valid disability sticker is displayed.

🐕 NO DOGS are permitted inside the venue, unless they are a support dog.

🍺 NO BYO ALCOHOL — please leave your alcohol at home.

We ask everyone attending to please respect these requirements and help us ensure both nights are safe, enjoyable and memorable for everyone.

Tomorrow night’s Preliminary Finals at the QEO will be LIVE STREAMED, with both the Under 18s and Seniors matches available to watch on the AFL Central Victoria YouTube channel.

What a day of finals football at Castlemaine!

The Champions IGA CVFL Senior Semi Finals delivered everything you could ask for, with Sandhurst Football Netball Club edging Eaglehawk Football Netball Club by just ONE POINT in an absolute thriller to keep their premiership dreams alive and book a place in this Friday night’s Preliminary Final.

Meanwhile, Official Golden Square Football & Netball Club proved too strong for Castlemaine Football Netball Club, securing a well-earned victory and earning a direct passage through to the 2026 Grand Final in two weeks’ time.

It’s not over yet for the Magpies! Castlemaine gets another crack this Friday night when they take on Sandhurst for the right to join Golden Square in the Grand Final.

What a day of finals football at Castlemaine!

The Champions IGA CVFL Under 18s Semi Finals delivered plenty of excitement, with White Hills Womens Football and Eaglehawk Football Netball Club producing a thrilling, hard-fought contest, while Woorinen Youth Girls put together a strong performance to overcome Strath Storm FNC and book their place in the 2026 Grand Final.

Congratulations to Woorinen, who now have two weeks to prepare for the biggest game of the season!

A huge congratulations also to all four teams for an outstanding finals contest and a great season so far.

Celebrating a magnificent 2026 Champions IGA CVFL season!

What a night! Last Friday, 165 people came together at The Bendigo Club to celebrate the season that was and recognise the outstanding players, coaches, volunteers and clubs who make our competition so special.

It was a fantastic evening filled with plenty of celebration, recognition and camaraderie as we congratulated our 2026 Champions IGA CVFL Award winners.

A huge thank you to our wonderful MC, Kirra Johnston, for keeping the night running so smoothly and helping make it such a memorable occasion.
