Entries are in and Bendigo has no idea what's about to hit it. 46 teams, with Regular holding strong at 30 and Open smashing records at 16, the most Open teams Nationals has ever seen. Which means one of two things. Either a lot of clubs are borrowing dogs, or a lot of clubs are afraid of heights. We're not naming names. You know who you are.
Bayside takes the award for furthest travelled, and after last year's kennel cough saga, their dogs are presumably arriving in individual hazmat suits. Norwest has entered more teams than anyone, in club yellow no less, so Bendigo is about to look like a highlighter factory exploded. Clearly 'send your best' was read as 'send everyone'. An honourable mention goes to Tassie, sending one dog, two humans and one very long ferry ride's worth of commitment.
See you all on the 26th. Jumps set to 7 inches for some of you, apparently.

Raffle Alert
This time, we're giving a massive shoutout to Kelpy Bone for donating to our Nats raffle.
We love seeing businesses that understand the important stuff in life: dogs, good gear, and apparently making it very easy for us to spend money on our dogs.
Go give them a follow, check out their page and show them some love.
They've supported us, so let's return the favour.
And if you find something your dog absolutely needs… well, that's between you and your bank account.

Responsible Spending
Today's raffle donor is EmBark Balance.
They've donated to our Nats raffle, which is excellent news for you and potentially catastrophic news for your bank account.
Go follow EmBark Balance, check out what they're doing and show them some love for supporting the flyball community.
Because supporting businesses that support Nationals is basically responsible spending.
And if you win the raffle prize?
That's not spending at all.
That's winning.
We don't make the rules.

4 Weeks
At this point, every dog is either:
Absolutely dialled in, or
Inventing brand new ways to keep things interesting.
There is no middle ground.
We've got a few tricks up our sleeve too and we genuinely can't wait to show you what's been happening behind the scenes. See you all on the last weekend of September.

PREORDERS CLOSE TONIGHT - FRIDAY 28 AUGUST
After that, you’ll only be able to buy whatever limited stock we drag to Bendigo. And once it’s gone, it’s gone.
There will be no secret stash.
There will be no emergency restock.
There will be no one in a high-vis vest appearing from behind the merch table whispering ‘we kept one aside for you.’
This is your final warning.
ORDER THE DAMN MERCH. You won’t regret it.

Today's shameless plug goes House of Dog
House of Dog have donated to our Nats raffle, which means we've got another excellent reason for you to go and spend some time looking at dog stuff on the internet.
Not that you needed one.
Go follow House of Dog, check out what they're doing and show them some love for supporting Nats.
And if you happen to find something your dog needs while you're there...
Remember: need is a very broad and highly subjective term.
That's just responsible dog ownership.
Probably.

Next up: Eastside
Just 200km from home, Eastside is heading to Nats with two teams, 10 Nationals appearances, and 14 podium finishes since first making the trip in 2006.
Their fastest time sits at 18.108, and with a decade-plus of Nats experience behind them, they know exactly how this game works.
Two teams, plenty of history, and 14 podium finishes says they’re definitely not here to make up the numbers. Eastside has entered the chat.

Flyball Logic Has Entered The Chat
Someone donates to our raffle.
We say thank you.
You go follow them.
You see something your dog needs.
You buy it.
Your dog gets spoiled.
Everyone wins.
Today's very important part of this completely sound business model is Georgie Paws, who have jumped in with a raffle donation for Nats.
Go give them a follow and show some love to one of the businesses helping make this weekend happen.
And remember: if your dog doesn't technically need it, that's irrelevant.
They deserve it.
And whatever happens after that is between you, your dog and the person who checks the credit card statement.
