Benaraby Dragway This is the Official site for Benaraby Dragway (Central Queensland Drag Racing Association Inc - CQDRA).

Benaraby Dragway (also known as the Central Queensland Dragway Association Inc or CQDRA) is a not-for-profit, volunteer run organisation that was established in 1980. Our Mission:
Benaraby Dragway exists to promote drag racing and other forms of motorsport by providing regular opportunities for safe, controlled and sportsmanlike competition. As a community-based not-for-profit organisation, we aim to provide a welcoming environment for competitors, volunteers, families and spectators while creating opportunities for participation, volunteering and community connection within the Gladstone Region. Our Long-Term Vision:
Our long-term vision is to keep regional motorsport, particularly drag racing, alive and thriving in the Gladstone Region. We aspire for Benaraby Dragway to be recognised as Queenslandโ€™s leading regional drag racing facility and as a valued community asset that attracts competitors and visitors to the region, contributes to its liveability and vibrancy, supports local organisations and businesses, and gives back to the community that supports us.

Round 6 of the Benaraby Dragway Championship Series, ft ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ๐Œ๐š๐ฑ๐ฑ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ”๐ŸŽ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐›๐ฒ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ฌ๐š๐ง๐ž ๐๐ž๐ซ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž, is officially in the books, and what a ride it was!

PowerMaxx660 certainly lived up to its reputation for being a tough bracket. We started with 7 entrants, but breakages reduced the field to 4 starters, before another mechanical issue in qualifying side-lined the quickest car of the day and left 3 to battle it out in racing.

There is a huge amount of time, money and effort behind the scenes to get cars like these to the track, and we have enormous respect for every entrant who committed to PowerMaxx660. To those who were forced out early, we know how disappointing that is โ€” and we genuinely appreciate your support of the event. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

This round we were also able to give entrants some additional 1/8-mile testing passes in what have quickly become known as '๐‘ฏ๐’‚๐’‘๐’‘๐’š ๐‘ณ๐’‚๐’‘๐’”'. We hope everyone who took advantage of them enjoyed the extra track time - it was great to be able to add something a little different to the program.
