Lakeview parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am at The Shores Way, Belmont. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Lakeview parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am at Green Point Reserve, Belmont NSW 2280. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

This Saturday at Lakeview will be 25 years to the day since the Green Point Heritage Trail - which we use as our 5km parkrun course - was officially opened by Shortland MP Jill Hall. There is a plaque on the rock at the top of the hill commemorating this event, which took place on 12 September 2001 and was also sadly the day when Australia woke up to hear about the events that had taken place overnight in New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
