What an awesome crew! So many kids, doing so well, and having a lot of fun! Great work over the Winter Season 🏅

In fast, vigorous, and competitive sports, it’s easy for kids (and parents) to get bit too excited. Given how many kids we have playing – about 80, not including those playing in the senior leagues – the most rewarding things are seeing them progress so steadily, and watching what great sports, in every sense, they have become. So, we should congratulate the kids, the parents, and the official and other helpers, because in such a large group, it’s not often you see so many truly lovely and motivated people!!!

The future for the centre's hockey seems pretty secure. Keep it up and see you after the holidays!

Monday Social Hockey League Finals

It was a great night of hockey last and we will share photos of all the teams, ASAP. Our camera's cloud storage (Nikon Image Space) is currently undergoing maintenance, and we are unable to access those images at the moment, but it just means that we'll combine Monday & Tuesday Leagues' photos in one big album, tomorrow!

Helping more kids get active
Round 11 of the Get Active Kids Voucher Program is now open!

Eligible Victorian families can access a voucher or reimbursement of up to $200 to help cover the cost of sport and active recreation — including fees, uniforms, and equipment for eligible children.

Important Dates
• Round 11 closing date: 10am on 13 October 2026 or earlier if the budget allocation is fully exhausted.
• Vouchers expiry date: Tuesday 27 April 2027.
• Voucher redemption closing date: 18 May 2027.

Featuring our Div 2A Cannons, the divisions bronze medallists for the Winter Season, who narrowly missed out on playing in the Gold Medal game. Congratulations on a strong season, and we are all looking forward to your return, with the introduction of an additional team, for the upcoming Summer Season.

Grand Final fixtures have been published for the Monday-Wednesday leagues. Tonight's will be updated after the games, obviously!

Although we’re in the middle of the school holidays, there’s lots going on at Rollerway.

Apart from being open every single day of the winter school holidays, 10am-4:30pm (until 12 July) and the usual evening sessions on Friday & Saturday nights…

ADULTS ONLY SKATE NIGHT – Sat 4th of July – 8:30-10:30pm, after the “for all” 6:30-8:30 slot. The music is a little different, less games, and…no kids! 🕺💃

LEARN TO SKATE LESSONS – every Saturday 4:45-5:30pm, just $17 with free skate hire. 🛼

WILD WILD WEST WEEKEND – 3- 5 July (Fri-Sun) day and night sessions, dress up for your chance to win extra prizes! 🤠

TRY HOCKEY FREE – we can cater to all skill levels, from absolute beginners through to Australia’s best! REMINDERS
• To all new players, please make sure you are in your team’s chat
• Remember to confirm your team colours, and check the fixture in advance, rather than the last minute
• Term fee discounts or AfterPay are only available first week
• If you are unable to play, please give your team as much notice as possible – forfeits carry extra penalties
• Don’t hesitate to use your team chats to help motivate your team, or to ask any questions, at all

WITH SOME REGRET, MAYHEM TOURNAMENTS WILL GO ON HIATUS.

After much consideration, and recognising how we have so many people attending tournaments like the Viking & Bendigo Cups, ACC, and the Winter Classic, or Nationals, given our staffing and time management challenges (after 14 years) it has been decided to make our various Mayhem Tournaments biennial events. The Div 1, 2, and Junior Mayhems, will be back in 2027. Sorry folks, but with 43 teams and 9 leagues to balance, and the plethora of day-to-day activities, it was felt that we needed to focus our energies as effectively as possible. Don't worry, Mayhem will be back!

A reminder that all Winter Season fixtures will be published over the next few days.
