A special moment before today's U17 State Cup Final, with the four appointed match officials presented with custom referee shirts and yellow socks to mark the occasion.

Surrounded by their families and the Hills Football Referees community, it was a fitting recognition of the journey these young referees have taken. Each of them has progressed through the Hills Football Referees Pathways Program, developing their skills and earning the opportunity to officiate one of the biggest matches of the season.

It was an especially proud moment for Chris Codling , who has guided these boys from the very beginning of their refereeing journey. To see them all standing together as the appointed officials for a State Cup Final is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the strength of our referee development program.

Congratulations to all four officials. Enjoy every moment, you've earned it.

Hills Football Referees have the honour of being appointed to whistle the U17 Boys State Cup this Sunday 12th July at Valentine Sport Park.

The team, lead by Referee Lachlan Figures, shines a real spotlight on our pipeline of our up and coming match match officials and we are excited and proud to see them represent the association with distinction this weekend 👊
