We Have Done It! Belconnen Tennis club is the winner of the Tennis ACT and South NSW Most outstanding club or venue award. Huge congratulations to us.

We would like to thank all the members and our community that have allowed this to happen.

As well as this one of our well known members won an award so Congratulations to Glenn Snellgrove in winning the adult club player of the year! What an achievement.

Today we hosted our Wimbledon celebration social tournament.

24 players competed despite the Wimbledon-like conditions and rain delays! Thanks to our Social Events Coordinator for running the day, to Jo for the incredible 'Wimbledon cake', Barb for her assistance catering and to all who played, cleaned up and made the day a lot of fun.

The winners of Green Team were Dom and Kevin, runners up Zoltan and Peter. The winners of White team were Glen and Vicky, with runners up Yanping and Stephan. Prizes were in keeping with the Wimbledon theme. Winners got a bottle of Pimm's mix, runners up a Terry's chocolate orange.

The winner of the Lucky Door Prize was David Olivares who got some boxes of tea and a jar of marmalade.

Afternoon tea was strawberries and cream, scones and sandwiches with pink lemonade.

Yes! BTC is a finalist in most outstanding club of the year, our head coach Jeff Gray is a finalist for Coaching Excellence, and both Barb Tai and Glenn Snellgrove are finalists for Player of the year in the Tennis ACT and Southern NSW Annual awards!! Winners announced on 29 August at the Tennis ACT Awards night!

A huge thank you to our volunteers who helped spread around 6 cubic metres of mulch around our fledgling shrubs at the back of our courts. Our mini working bee got the job in record time!! Thanks team!

Courts are soaked so no social tennis today

Belconnen Tennis club is a finalist in the Tennis ACT Most outstanding club. Congratulations to us! We would also like to congratulate our coach Jeff Gray in becoming a finalist of the coaching excellence award. The winners are announced on the 29th of August so stay tuned until then!
