What a season it has been! From the very first game right through to the Grand Final — what a journey! 💙🖤🐦

Unfortunately, we didn’t get the result we wanted on Grand Final day, but that takes absolutely nothing away from the incredible season this group of boys has had. They should hold their heads high and be incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. 💪🏽🔥

Coming into the season with pretty much an entirely new team, with many boys who had never played footy before, nobody could have predicted what this group would go on to achieve.

But week after week, they worked hard, learned, improved and, most importantly, they came together.

What started as a group of boys quickly became a team, and that team became a family. 🖤🐦💙

We led the competition from start to finish, putting in the hard work both on and off the field. The commitment, determination and belief these boys showed all season was something special.

To my captain, Mason Krestensen — what an awesome job you have done leading this team all year. You have been a fantastic captain and a great leader for the boys. You should be incredibly proud of yourself. 👊🏽💪🏽

To my manager, Adrienne Krestensen — I honestly couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for everything you have done behind the scenes to help me, the boys and the team all season. You have been amazing! 👊🏽👊🏽

To my trainers, Marc Carey, Liam Young, Luke Mohr and Alan Craig — your commitment, dedication and support throughout the season has been second to none. Thank you for everything you have put into these boys. 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽

Another massive shout-out to Zachary Cooper for all your support this year and for helping myself and the boys develop into the team we became. Your support has meant a lot and has played a huge part in our season. 👊🏽👊🏽🖤🐦💙

You have made myself, your families and the Beaudesert Kingfishers extremely proud.

From boys who were strangers at the start of the season, to a group that fought for each other, backed each other and became a family — watching that transformation has been something I will never forget.

I want every single one of you to know just how proud I am of you. I love each and every one of you. ❤️

The Grand Final result might not have gone our way, but that does not define this team.

Your hard work. Your commitment. Your friendship. Your growth. Your determination. THAT is what defines you. 💪🏽

Mia Deswarte of our under 15 girls team was at state championships representing South Coast last week and over the weekend.

Mia has impressed coaches and companions alike, with her efforts. Securing a try in her first game and assisted in her second game.

Thinking of you Mia, wishing you well and can’t wait to have you back to hear all about the experience.

Our U13 Girls, U13 Div 4, U14 Div 3 and U14 Div 2 have all earned their place in finals footy — now it’s time to get behind them! 👏

Our U15 Girls and U17 Boys have earned themselves a weekend off and will be preparing for their finals next week. 💪

To every player pulling on the Kingfishers jersey this weekend — play for each other, play with pride and enjoy every minute of it. You’ve worked all season to get here. 🐦🏉

2026 MINOR PREMIERS! 🏆

Not quite the way we expected to finish the regular season, but following this week’s forfeit, our Haack Logistics DMC side are officially the 2026 Minor Premiers!

Unfortunately, the forfeit also means there will be no final home game at Willis Park this Saturday.

While we would have loved one more chance to run out at home, finishing the regular season on top is something this group should be incredibly proud of.

➡️ NEXT STOP: FINALS FOOTY!

Last week, a number of our U15 girls were given an incredible opportunity to visit the Titans training headquarters and get an inside look at an NRLW training environment. 🏉✨

The girls met with pathway development staff, toured the facilities, watched the Titans NRLW squad train and, best of all, spent time chatting with the players.

The Titans players were absolutely incredible with our girls. They were so generous with their time, answering questions, sharing advice and offering plenty of encouragement as our girls prepare for their own upcoming finals series.

For young players to have the opportunity to speak with women they look up to, hear about their experiences and see firsthand what a high-performance environment looks like is pretty special. It was an incredible experience for our players and coaches alike.

A huge thank you to NRLW Pathways Officer Tim for his support in making this opportunity happen, and of course to our contacts at QRL and RLGC, who continue to support our club and help us provide meaningful development opportunities for our players. We’re incredibly grateful for the pathways and experiences you continue to open up for our girls. 💙🖤

The next step for many of these girls will be applying for the U15 development program in the coming months — and after an experience like this, we’re sure they’ll be heading into it feeling even more inspired and excited about where their footy can take them.

The future of our female game is looking pretty exciting. 💙💗🏉

We thought last weekend had brought our final home game for the season — but we’ve been lucky enough to score one more at Willis Park.

This Saturday our Haack Logistics DMC side takes on the Parkwood Sharks, and to celebrate, we’ll be putting on a FREE sausage sizzle for everyone who comes along.

As we head into finals, we want to take a moment to celebrate some pretty incredible achievements across our club this season.

🥉 U13 Girls Community – 3rd
👏 U14 Div 3 – through to finals!
👏 And of course, our Open Women, who also earned their place in finals this year!

To have more than half of our international teams playing finals footy is an incredible achievement for our club and something our players, coaches and families should be incredibly proud of.

But ladder positions never tell the whole story.

Our U13 and U15 Div 1 teams deserve enormous recognition for their seasons. They faced some seriously tough footy this year, continued to rise to the challenge and represented our club with determination, courage and pride. We couldn’t be prouder of them.

Our U15 Div 3 also deserve recognition after narrowly missing out on finals. It may not have been the finish they were hoping for, but it certainly doesn’t take away from the season they’ve had or how proud we are of them.

And a very special mention to our U17 Girls. Injuries have made their season incredibly challenging, but their grit and resilience simply cannot be matched. Week after week, despite the odds being stacked against them, they kept turning up, taking the field and playing incredible football. That says far more about this group than any ladder position ever could. 💙

While our junior season begins to wind down, our Senior Men continue to play some great footy, and we look forward to sharing their continued journey over the coming weeks.

There is plenty to celebrate in the results this year, but what makes us proudest is seeing our teams turn up for each other, represent the Kingies and continue to give everything they have.
