🔥 Massive Day for the Bathurst Athletics Team! 🔥

Day 1 delivered in a big way — 8 first places, including 3 new country championship records, plus a second, a third, and a heap of brilliant performances across the board.

And we’re only getting started. Many more athletes hit the track and take on the field events tomorrow, with a huge weekend still to come across Saturday and Sunday.

A huge well‑done to the 69 Bathurst athletes who have qualified for Regionals in Dubbo in a fortnight. Our squad will line up in 259 individual events, along with all four relay teams. An outstanding achievement by everyone involved.

BAC is rolling into Dubbo this weekend bigger, louder, and stronger than ever — with 24 athletes taking on 88 events at the 2026 NSW Country Championships. This is our biggest Country Champs squad in club history, and the energy is unreal.

Jess Hull leads Australia to historic gold at World Cross Country Championships Australia’s distance runners are on top of the world after winning the 4 x 2km mixed relay for the first time ever at the World Athletics Cross Country Championships on Sunday morning (AEDT).

⏰️⏰️📣📣5th of Jan is when REGOS CLOSE for the NSW Country Championships to be held in Dubbo from Jan 16-18. Loads of our athletes go to this - who knows, if we do well our great country club might win the weekend! You can register on the link below:

😲⏰️🔥👏Bathurst athletes continue to excel at an ELITE level with Kobe Borgstahl and Dylan Ruming snagging SUB 11 second PBs in the 100m at this weekend's High Velocity track meet in Sydney. This is rare air these two Kelso High Campus - Denison College boys are in. Dylan also snared a qualifying time in the 200m today! The boys will join (at this stage) half a dozen other Bathurst Athletics Club athletes who have qualified to compete at the Chemist Warehouse Australian Athletics Championships in April 2026. It's rare to have 1 national level athlete at a club. This is really incredible.Can't stress enough how much this country athletics club punches above its weight!

⚠️ Athletes in the 16s, 17s, Under 20, and all Para age groups are required to enter the Region Championships directly, even if they competed at the Zone Championships.
