The squash club operates multiple local competitions throughout the year, with the most popular (and strongest skill level) being the Monday and Wednesday evening competitions. Other competitions include the Monday and Thursday morning competitions. Panthers Squash Club hosts annual squash tournaments in the facilities, including the renowned Bathurst Open (October) and Bathurst Masters. These competitions are open to the general public, and you do not have to be a member of squash club or Panthers to participate. As the only squash club in Bathurst, it has continued to go from strength to strength over the years. Club membership numbers are healthy, and all competitions are run smoothly and with good numbers. Although no longer in its hey-day of the 80s, squash is widely known as one of the most physical sports going around. The legendary Don Bradman was an avid squash player, and so skilled that he operated ambidextrously to avoid needing a backhand. For those wishing to participate in local competitions or tournaments, please feel free to visit the club on either Monday or Wednesday evenings. Club committee members are on site from 4.30pm - 8.30pm on those nights, and can set you up in competitions.
